Walking out of the apartment complex, I bump into the infamous Vincent Amos. Vincent was my neighbor he lived in Apartment 62 which was directly under mines. His mom and him moved in the beginning of freshman year, but yet I rarely see his mom home. I might catch a glimpse of her once every 3 months. Vincent was a walking mysterious. We are in the same friend group at school, his friend Darren dates my best friend Avian but yet I never held a conversation with him for more than a minute.

I've always been nice to Vincent I even tried multiple times to be his friend, but he always seems to be irritated by my whole existence. So I tend to keep my distance from him. Most of the school is intimidated by him, I rarely see him smile and barely see him engaging in social interaction.

¨Hey¨ I smile shyly.

He simply nods and starts heading down the road towards the subway. Quickly I follow behind since we are heading towards the same place.

¨Running late I see¨ I say trying to catch up with him.

Letting out a huge huff, he picks up his pace and puts his head phones in¨

¨Asshole¨ I mutter.

Dragging along behind him I start to analyze him. Vincent was about 6'4 which towered over my 5'2 body. He's a dark mocha color and has a burn mark on the right side of his face that traveled down to the right side of his his neck. I was curious about the mark ever since we first met but never had the guts to ask about it and isn't my place to do so. Even though he has that huge mark on his face his features still popped out, hell the burn mark made him look even more attractive than he already is.

He had waves that were well taken care of and most of the time he wore black. Right now he was covered in black head to toe despite it being 70 degrees out. He always smelled like cocoa butter and was more on the anti social side of life.

He must've felt my eyes on him because he turned around and met my eyes with a agitated expression. I quickly averted my eyes now starting at the side walk.

Finally having the courage to look up. Vincent now staring straight forward zoned out to his music. I take this time to appreciate the nice day.

It was  a regular Monday morning in Manhattan, New York. The regular busy roads and the packed side walks. We lived in the more run down parts of Manhattan but I still loved the city. There was never a dull moment.
