Emily sighed as she stood up and looked in the full length mirror. I look like one of those creepy porcelain dolls that grandma used to buy me every year for my birthday until I was 12, she thought horrified. She was wearing an emerald green silk dress, with a long ruffled skirt and a built in corset. Her shoes were six inch silver strappy heels with emeralds lining the straps. Emily's midnight black hair was pinned up on her head so you could see the pearlescent white skin of her face and her cherry red lips.
She was quite a vision. These clothes are not what she would have chosen by any means though. It's her "fiance" that makes her dress like this. Yes, that's right. Her fiance. Although, that wasn't exactly her decision either. None of this was. A week ago she was worried about highschool drama, what college she would go to and what career she would go into. Now, I suppose I don't have to worry about that. I won't have to worry about anything once I'm married to the Vampire King, she thought glumly. Yes, you read right. She was to be married to a vampire. The king of darkness himself, to be exact. She went to sleep one night in her own bed and when she woke the next morning she was in a completely foreign one. Once Emily had realized what happened she had a fit. She yelled and screamed and threw things and demanded an explanation as to why she was there. Oh, and when she found out why they took her..let's just say it wasn't a pretty scene. Someone knocked on the door breaking her out of her thoughts.
"Time for dinner, Miss Emily," chirped one of the servants.
Oh boy, she thought dryly. Time to meet my soon-to-be husband.
