Sleep was a dismal happening for me which I only subjected myself to since my body needed it. I could rest better awake then asleep since the nightmare I lived would swim in my dreams and consume me.

There was only one thing that seemed to keep me from actually wanting to give up sleep. In all the death and hellish things that happened behind my eyes I would eventually see a girl. She was around 12 years with a smile that was all too familiar to me.

-Flashback-

I sulked around in the shade of a tree while the sun blazed down on the kids whom I called my classmates. The boys played soccer using the tree lines as goals where as the girls played with their dolls and talked amongst each other.

I turned my head towards the furthest treeline and spotted my obsession. There underneath a tree she sat with her nose in a book most kids would shy away from. She and I weren't most kids.

I was walking over to join her when I felt a pressure against my head and found myself in the grass.

"Hey, you just going to cry on the ground or you gunna give us back our ball?" A bigger looking blond boy walked over to me and I scowled getting to my feet. This boy was always trying to make me look like an ass in front of this girl and was the reason why I still don't know her name.

I had kicked the ball back at him but he didn't seem to care about it as it rolled back to his team mates who all just watched the situation.

"Why do you always want me to hit you with the ball?" He inquired to me with a face of mockery.

"I never wanted you to. I just want to walk peacefully to a quiet place to read." I turned from the boy and walked on towards my destination.

There was a hand on my shirt and I was pulled back only to fall on the ground. The blonde boy got on me and threw a punch. Usually I'd take his torment in hopes that it'd end so I could still get to the beautiful girl but, knowing the outcome, this time I was pissed.

Not used to me fighting back, he left himself open allowing me to give him an uppercut and I rolled on top and gave him a piece of his own medicine. When I finally got off of him he lay on the ground unmoving. I looked over to my obsession and found her running towards me. My heart jumped but then faltered when she ran past me to kneel beside the boy I had just beat up.

I stared at the girl in awe at her beautiful brown hair that shined with a red tint in the sun. Her pale skin called to me to run my fingers over it and I almost would have if she hadn't looked at me. She had honeycomb eyes that took my breath away and with the bat of her eyelashes I knew she was going to be mine.

That was until I realized she was staring at me in horror.

"You killed my brother..."

A teacher had finally gotten to us and I finally realized what had just happened.

-End Flashback-

Laying in bed I waited for the day to start by relaying life. I had left with my parents before the authorities of City Ivy caught up to me and we made for Mafiss City. I had found Zeren's group by accident and I found myself drowning in the reality of my obsession. Zeren had built himself a small army over the years and I joined gladly thinking of my beautiful obsession and how Zeren's way of life would be the only way I could have her.

I lay in bed now waiting for the sun to rise so I can join Zeren at the arena. He knew my drive and reasoning. He might have voiced his opinion on the situation once but that was all he ever did. He isn't someone to repeat himself.
