We started eating dinner, it was so quiet the quiet it's ever been. Hold on. The only time it's this quiet is when we have a mission coming soon and by we I mean me. Why didn't he tell me sooner. I kept playing with my food not feeling hungry anymore, but I didn't want to be rude so I just took a small fork of Alfredo pasta and that's it. I was lost in my thought think about what my mission could possibly be.

"Mija why haven't you eaten your food, do you not like it" my mama asked

"No ma the foods great in just not hungry" I shrugged sending a glare to my dad. I can tell he saw me send him a glare he sighed my brothers looked up to me and then my mother who just shrugged her shoulders. We all ate in silence after that this was so awkward.

"Pa is there any missions coming soon" I asked tired of the silence.

"No Mija not soon" he responded. I rolled my eyes how could he of had lied I know somethings coming up he always tells us about our missions during dinner but why isn't he telling us know it not like him.

"May I be excused please" I said looking up at my plate Toni looking at me knowing if I didn't leave I was going to explode at my father for not telling us anything, so he gave my father a nod signaling him to say yes. I hate how easily Toni can ready my expression. It makes me look weak.

"Yes you may" my father said. I did not hesitate to get up I ran straight to the stairs up to my room I closed the door I don't slam it because I didn't want them to think I was mad about something. Yes I am mad at my father for not telling us about the mission that we were going to have but I also know he did it for a reason.

Yani entered my room with a confused look I look up at her. "Hey" I said

"Hey what was that about" she asked I took a deep breath and sat at my window nook, yani took a seat across from me

"Well are you going to talk are we going to just sit down" yani asked she's so impatient.

"Ok but remember what ever is said at the nook" I said. Ok let me give you guys back story of the window nook so when me and yani were seven we got older and as we got older the more secrets and personal stuff we had so know whenever we need to talk or say chisme we come here and whatever is said in here is kept a secrete between us no one else. Basically the nook is a safe place for us to tell each other things, it's one of the most important rule in our friendship the MOST important rule is for the future, the rule is that when we die we have to meet each other at the top of the moon. We even have matching moon necklaces. So that the back story of the nook and the moon rule

"Ok so my dad was really quiet at dinner tonight I got suspicious then I realized that" I got cut of by yani

" that he's only that quiet when there's a mission coming up for you" she said

"Yeah" I suggest looking out the window

"So what's got you wound up"she asked

"He didn't mention anything about it even when I asked him" I said

"Oh that's weird maybe it's a secret one " she suggested

"Yeah probably what time is it" I asked

She took out her phone and showed me the time it was 8:57. Only 8:57 I thought. I ended up asking yani if she wanted to watch metixe she agreed and went to go get snacks we ended up watching criminals minds one of my Gm favorite shows. I always thought it was cool how they solved crime/kidnapping, etc just by liking at the scene and trying to be put in the criminals foot steps it amazed me, kind of make me want to be a FBI profiler.
We finished watching like 5 episode of criminals minds, because by the time we finished it was about to be 2 In the morning yani ended up going to her room.( she has her own room in my house since she's almost always here) I got up brushed my teeth but ok a silly night set and went to bed.
