-Akira-
I went downstairs trying to find Atsumu. I went to the kitchen to search for him and grab some drinks. I open the fridge and found a box of milk. I grab it and put a hole on it with a straw. I start drinking it and walk around once again.
I saw Samu leaning on the kitchen counter and decided to ask him where's Tsumu. "Hey Samu.", I told him while getting up to sit on the kitchen table. I got myself comfortable on the table. "Oh, hey Akira.", He said simply.
"How's the party so far?", I ask him and continued sipping on my milk. "Kinda boring actually. Their food is not that good.", He said which made me giggle. "Do you know where Tsumu's at? I kinda ditch him for a while and now he's gone.", I said to him while throwing my empty carton of milk away inside the kitchen trash can.
"Oh, he said he left because he thought you left him alone.", Samu said which made me turn around looking at him seeing if he's joking or not. "Seriously?", I said annoyed. "Yeah, sorry Kira.", He said shrugging. "But I can walk you home to beat him up if that'll make it better.", He said jokingly, but I am about to beat him badly.
Either way, I giggle at his joke, "No, it's fine. I'll just beat him up at school later.", I said continuing the joke. "Well, see you around then.", I said to him ending our conversation. He gave me a small wave and I continued walking around the party.
Since Atsumu already left, I guess I can do what I want now. I decided to went outside in the front yard and sat on the front steps. I look upward and see the same sight I saw on the balcony. Atsumu can call me a nerd as much as he wants, but I like to learn about the stars. I think it's interesting. I remembered little details about which stars are around the neighborhood.
Sometimes I even talk to the stars. My parents said when I'm younger after my grandma's funeral that when people died. They become stars watching us from afar. Sometimes when I miss her, I just look up to the sky and talk to her.
Not long after, my parents' business becomes a success and they got more clients. Because of that they always went on business trips. But I don't mind. I know deep down they love me and care for me. They already gave me a happy childhood.
I look around and saw that there are some kids smoking and chatting with each other. Then my eyes landed on a certain dark brown-haired boy. He was sitting next to me. I didn't even notice that he sat there before. Our eyes locked and he has such beautiful eyes. I wonder what color his eyes are. Is it grey? yellow? green?
I nod to him and he nod back. He seemed similar somehow. "Hi", He said simply. "Hey", I said back eyes now looking at the sky and hands inside my skirt pockets. He wore a typical black hoodie and black jeans with his hands inside his pockets as well.
"Are you Atsumu's girlfriend?", He said bluntly which made me chuckled at his straightforwardness. "Nope and never will.", I said sarcastically. "Oh really? I saw you with him at the party. He seemed like he's introducing you to the volleyball club.", He said.
"Nah, we're just friends. He just wanted me to meet his family, but I didn't get to meet one of them.", I reply. "family...?", He asks with curiosity in his voice. "He always talks about his volleyball friends and his love for volleyball. He said he loves them like a family, but he asks me not to tell em'", I answer while smiling.
"He told me a lot about them until I could remember their names.", I continued. "He said he won't be honest in front of them, but he feels like they are his family. Especially Samu and a Suna guy, well, of course, Samu is his real family.", I continued rambling.
I noticed that I'm rambling and decided to stop. "Sorry, I didn't mean to ramble.", I said to him looking down embarrassed. I heard him chuckling. His voice is very deep. I don't know why, usually I'll be annoyed if someone tried to talk to me, but I feel comfort from his voice and aura. I've never smile this much around other people.
"It's fine. And actually, you just told them yourself that.", He said which leave me confused. "Huh?", I ask with a confused face looking at him. Our eyes meet and he is smiling. His smiles give me butterflies. Wait, what am I thinking? Nope, probably just something I drink earlier.
"Hi, Suna Rintarō. 2nd year. You must be Kira, right? Atsumu also talks a lot about you. He said you're the most beautiful girl he has ever seen. But he told me not to tell you anything.", He said to you his smile turning to a smirk. I look away embarrassed by his comment.
"Doesn't he told you not to tell me? Why did you just expose him?", I ask him. "Because you told me one of his secrets, it'll only be fair to tell you one too.", He answered while shrugging and look back at the stars. I smile at his answer and look back up to the stars for God knows how many times that night.
"So now, tell me more about you. What's one of your secrets?", He asks and I started thinking. "Hm, Atsumu is the first one who wants to be my friend. I was running away from him, but eventually having his company is, well it felt nice.", I said to him. "How did you guys meet?", He asks continuing the conversation.
"We went to the same middle school and he hit me with a volleyball on the face at gym period in 8th grade, he said sorry like a million times and I've forgiven him but he still wanted to pay me back by eating lunch with me and be my friends.", I said to him starting to ramble. "At first I hate the fact that I have to deal with one of the popular boys. But, turns out having his company is less lonely and well comfortable.", I continued.
"And I guessed you met him through volleyball?", I ask looking at him. "Yup.", He answers simply. A comfortable silence filled the atmosphere. It was nice until he said, "Hey, do you want to get away from this party?".
