The lights were so bright as I slowly opened my eyes as a loud chase happens in the distance. I look up as fast as I can and I see a man in the distance with a knife on a boy smaller than the man with the knife this boy does not scream or call for help he just stands there trying to get the man off him I get up and move to the side before the man sees me I grab an iron pole and climb up a ladder and go across the iron stair way, trying to be quiet and swift I jump down ontop of the man hitting him in the head and knocking him out the man moves a little. The boy grabs my arm and starts running I run with him it's hard to breathe the wind blowing in my face as if wolfs are howling and the cold making my lips feel numb. The boy pulls me around a corner and I all most fall down but he has a hold of me and pushes me towards the wall and says "the names jack".
"Hi my names violet, is he gone ? Can you see him? "
" I can't see him anywhere wanna get a pie ? "
"Are you buying ?! "
"Yeah I am, oh and thanks for that back there I could have been a goner so thanks violet! " I looked at this boy with a smile I thought at the moment it's not a big deal as I hit the man over the head but now I realise that I saved this boys life I felt really proud of my self as I was digging my face into a pie, I haven't eaten in a few days I can't remember the last time I had had something nice not out of a garbage bin. The boy looked at me strangely I had no clue who this boy was, he had dark brown hair and light blue eyes with gold glimmer in the middle he looked like he was ready for life he looked like he hadn't had a shower in a few weeks but some how his shoes were clean and he hasn't smiled since I met him is don't know why that is but I wondered why a good looking kid like this would be on the streets.
