Valentine's Day

I watched as my parents sat on our deck with candles and fancy foods, they were enjoying Valentines Day. But I had to watch my brothers, and if it isn't bad enough they hired the boy in my grade that I have a huge crush on! I turned around to see him playing some game with my brothers. Eventually that night my parents texted me to put my brothers to bed because they were at a "restaurant". Once I put the six and four year old Mike and I walked to the kitchen to get a snack. I ate some crackers in awkward silence as he started eating potato chips. Mike walked over to get a water and as he turned around to drink it some flew out of the cup and hit the back of my head, drenching my hair and clothes.
"Sorry!" He said as I frantically started grabbing napkins.
"It's ok, I'm just gonna go to my room to dry it off." I said while holding about ten napkins on the target. Once I got in my room I started brushing droplets of water out of my hair while putting towels in my back.
"I really am sorry." Mike said as he walked up quietly,"But I know how to fix it." He said as he started leaning towards me. I knew now that he loved me, and that was enough for the moment. I picked up my hand mirror my mother hand given me when I was little and put it in between me, and his lips. Once he kissed the mirror though he disappeared.
"Mike? Where are you?" I asked as I looked around, still holding the mirror in my right hand.
"I'm over here! Wherever this is.
I looked at my mirror as I saw the spot where Mike had kissed it. I put my finger on it as my world dissolved and the mirror clattered to the ground.
I reappeared on a hill with a single beautiful tree on I front of it. Mike was standing by the tree, gently touching its bark.
"It says love is the key." He said as I walked over. I looked at the carved words inside a carved heart that said exactly what Mike had stated. Then the bark grew back over the words as the tree started carving itself.
"Love is the way out." It read. The words were inside an outline of lips.
"Does it want us to kiss to get out of here?" I asked.
"I think it does." Mike said as he leaned in, this time I let hm kiss me. Once again my world disappeared.
"Well that was, strange." Mike said as he scratched his head in my room awkwardly.
"Yeah, except for the kiss." I said shyly as he wrote something down on a piece of paper on my desk then left.
The note read "love is the key to my heart.".
