The Crash of Emotions {1}
I woke up and turned to my bedside table. June 18th, 10:02 am. Hope was definitely already up. I pulled my lavender comforter off of my body and stretched out my arms. I yawned really loud as I attempted to stand up. I was really tired for some reason. I slowly walked down the hall and into my sister, Hope's room. There she was. She sat peacefully in her bed, meditating. She looked perfectly awake. She had no baggy under eye circles or tangled hair like me. "Morning," I smiled. She nodded and smiled back, "Good morning!" "How long have you been up?" I asked her. "A couple of hours," she replied, breathing in deeply. "Want to go to Chuck's Corner and rent a movie for later?" I asked. "Sure, just let me finish up these last couple breaths," she responded. I nodded and waited. I walked around her pretty, turquoise room. Her earrings were neatly stored on a cute earring holder, and her desk was so organized. Before I could even touch anything, she popped up behind me. "Ready?"
Hope and I lived in a small town called Rover. Our house was block away from the small little town. It had a general store, which was Chuck's Corner. That's where you could buy food, hats, movies, etc. Then there was Tomsen Pastries, for cheap treats. The beach was about ten minutes away. That's where Surf Shack was, where you I you'll get smoothies, surf boards, skimboards and wetsuits. We had a Target thirty minutes away from my house, and the Safeway was about twenty minutes away. Our town had just what I needed. Cute stores and loving people.
"What movie do you want to rent?" I asked Hope. She shrugged. "Hmm... how about Blood Love?" "Ewww! Not another vampire movie, Hope!" Hope had this vampire obsession for over a year now. "Kidding. I know how much you hate those," she laughed as she put on her jacket, "We'll see what they have."
As we walked towards town, Hope started asking me about school. I was horrible at school. Especially Social Studies. I usually got Cs and Ds, and the highest I had gotten on my last report card was a B. "Did you talk to Mrs. Abstop about your project grade?" she asked. Hope was a straight A, honors student. I really hadn't talked to the evil Mrs. Abstop, and I wish I could say that I had. But I couldn't lie to Hope. "No, I haven't gotten the chance to." But I had. Many times. I always saw Mrs. Abstop, but I knew that she knew I was completely terrified of her. "Ash! You know that the project you failed was from three weeks ago! It's now or never that you talk to her!" she scolded me like a good sister. "I know, Hope. I'm really sorry," I apologized. She hugged me supportively, but continued to ask about my worst subject as we crossed the street. "Do you know your current grade in Social Studies?" "It's a... a C-..." I mumbled. "ASH!"
"I'm sorry, I just-"
"ASH!!!" she screamed, and I could tell this wasn't about my grade.
All I remember is turning to see a man driving a car, and I felt something hit me. Everything went black.

"Ashley? Are you awake?" someone said. "It's Ash," I automatically replied. Wait, where was I? I opened my eyes wider and a bright light shined in my face. I saw a doctor and I immediately knew what was happening. "Where's Hope?" I yelled at him. He took a deep breath. I grabbed his head and screamed, "WHERE'S HOPE? WHERE IS MY SISTER?" All of the sudden, I saw my mom and dad around me too. My mom started sobbing and my dad just stared at me, weirdly. "Your sister perished in the accident," the doctor told me. I looked around, blankly. My mother continued to cry as my dad told her to calm down. But then my anger came out. "ARE YOU RETARDED? WHERE IS MY FREAKING SISTER, YOU IDIOT?!" "Ashley!" my mother yelled. The doctor signaled my mom that it was okay or something, like he had been around behavior like this before. "I'm sorry, Ashley-" "Ash." "Ash... but your older sister was killed by a car's impact. She protected you from nearly being killed," the doctor replied. I started to cry. "No..." I felt my face. I felt cuts and scratches and stitches. Why would Hope do that? Why didn't I save her? I started blaming myself more. I thought that if I had gotten an A on my project or even just talked to Mrs. Abstop, my sister's life would still be existent. All of the sudden, Charlie rushed into the room.
