Prologe

In an empty room a tv channel is playing a news broadcast. A middle aged female reporter is speaking.

"A new strain of virus has been discovered by the Center of Disease Control. This Virus is said to have near a 100% mortality rate based on the patients that have contracted the virus thus far." The channel changes while flashes of sick people and goes back to another news reporter.

"In the six months since the virus emerged, the number of cases has risen astronomically. While the virus has been said to have originated on the continent of Africa, cases have been reported across the globe, prompting the CDC and The WHO to begin research into a possible preventative measures to prevent further casualties." The Channel changed once more to more sick people then switches to another reporter.

"Sources have reported that while the virus originated in the continent of Africa, the spread globally was contributed to human carriers and exporting food sources from overseas." The channel changes once again with images of  medical facility testing, and goes back to the reporter.

"The WHO has recently stated that as many as ten thousand may have already perished from the CASM-3 virus which as of yet has been shown to be incurable. The have likened the initial symptoms to those of bacterial meningitis. The being flu-like including sever headache, sudden high fever, stiff neck, nausea and vomiting, sensitivity to light, rapid breathing, and convulsions among others. However officials have begun to approach the virus in a more offensive manner as opposed to defense. In other words, looking for a possible vaccine to prevent the virus from spreading further. Testing the vaccine has already begun in a controlled environment; however, human testing has yet to begin." The channel changes once again to another reporter.

"In the two years since CASM-3 virus surfaced, an estimated quarter of a million people have died. Many contracted the virus after the vaccine had been discovered but had not yet been made available to the public. This has prompted outrage from officials around the world who have accused The WHO of sitting on the vaccination as a means of some twisted 'population control' attempt. The WHO has fervently denied these accusations and stated that 'the delay has been due to production issues.' They added that mass production of the vaccine has begun in a pharmaceutical company in Europe and predictions expect the vaccine to be available  globally within a year." Images of vaccine productions and people being injected are shown on the screen; the reporter appears again. They date is August 16th 2015. 

"The CASM-3 virus vaccine has been made available in the United States. It is currently available to the public, however because4 of the global need supplies of the vaccine are limited. Not everyone will be able to receive the initial vaccine. The WHO is urging anyone who is not able ti be vaccinated with the first release to protect themselves from possible exposure while more vaccines are being produced. These preventative measures include being diligent about hygiene and who you are exposing yourself and family to; and also being extremely vigilant about food handling practices. Only purchase food items whose organs can be trusted and verified." Images of people walking around with masks and receiving more vaccines are shown. Children and elderly. 

"According to the CDC and The WHO, the amount of newly reported case of the CASM-3 virus has diminished, prompting officials to believe that the risk of infection to the general population has begun to subside. The Worldwide vaccination of people has become almost commonplace in most societies with similarities to the polio or chicken pox vaccine. State and local health departments have been urged to add the vaccine to the normal regimen already in place for school aged children to avoid the spread inside the public school systems."

"Geologist in a remote drilling camp on the continent for Antartica have begun to report a significant amount of melting occurring in the area. The drilling site has been in place since the early 1980's and has closely monitored the ice caps for changes in continuity. They have drilled for years testing cores to study what lies deep below the ice surface that can sometimes extend to a depth of seven thousand feet or around a mile with spots even reaching a depth of two miles. The National Geological Society has said that the melting in certain areas has been substantial and it is unknown  at this time what the exact cause of the anomaly is. They have also added that at this point, they are also not clear of the effect the melting will have on the Earth's atmosphere. Many researchers from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Association have for many years warned that this event could catastrophically affect the weather across the globe4 in an advert manner. The NGS and NOAA have been working side by side to comb through extensive amounts of data from recent years to create a prediction model. This model is going to be used to attempt to predict what the outcome of this is sudden change in the caps will have on both the atmosphere and the oceans as well. They have announced that they will be addressing congress in the near future with this information." Channel changes to political figures in session and the president giving a speech.

"After a lengthy session in congress, the NGS and NOAA have announced that there is a significant and potentially catastrophic amount of an unknown gas that may be released into the atmosphere as a result of the melting of icecaps in Antartica. Neither agency has stepped forward to identify the substance and has not confirmed whether or not such a leak has already taken place or when such an event will occur. Sources close to high ranking officials from both agencies have stated off the record, that the lack of response from both agencies is due to their inability to identify the substance as of yet. Because of the depth from which this substance apparently originated, this is their first exposure too the gas and are in the process of identifying it's properties and its affect on there general population." The static tone and testing screen appear; the tv screen goes black.
