"Ava I need to tell you something." My mom says as we both sit down at the dinner table. "what's up?" I ask curiously. "Well it's hard to explain, but me and some of my workers are going to Africa." she says calmly. I guess it was a bad decision to take a sip of my water while she was saying that, I spit it out on the table. "What?!" I choked out. "Honey clean this mess up now!" She commanded. "Are you serious?!" I screamed. me and my mom have a really tight relationship and I can't even imagine what it would be like without her here. "Look honey I'm so sor-" I cut her off. "How long are you going to be gone?" I ask calming down a bit. "10 months." She answers looking down. This time I was more mad then sad. I got up from my seat and ran up the stairs to my room. I slammed the door shut, and locked it as soon as I could. I turned around, so my back was facing the door, and slid down it. tears staining my cheeks. I heard footsteps coming up the stairs. And shortly after a knock on my door. I wiped away the tears coming from my eyes and stood up. I turned around and sighed. I reached out for the door knob and turned it slowly. My mom standing on the other side with a hand on her hip. "Honey, you need to stop. I'm going and you can't do anything about it but wait until I get back." She said seriously. "Fine, see you in ten months." I said and slammed the door in her face. "look I'm hiring a babysitter." She said through the door. "What?!" I shouted for what seemed like the millionth time today. "You cannot handle yourself for 10 months." She said calmly. "Mom! I'm 17! I'm going to be an adult next year! I DO NOT need a babysitter!" I yelled through the door. "Hun, I'm not leaving you here for 10 months unless someone is with you." She said back. "Then don't leave." I simply said. "That's not what I meant, and you know that, stop being a smart ass!" She started raising her voice. "Mom how many times do I have to say it I DO NOT NEED A BABYSITTER!" "Do not raise your voice with me! I'm your mother!" She shouted through the door. "Oh really, what kind of mom leaves her child for 10 months!" I replied. "Look, it was not my choice. I'm going because it's my job! I'm also calling a babysitter because I don't want my child in a house by herself for 10 months." She then left my door side. I only new one thing that would help. Sleep. I walked to my bed and lay down pulling the covers over my body. I grabbed my phone off of the table next to my bed and took it off the charger. I was looking through new apps on the AppStore when one caught my eye. Vine. It said you could make 6 second videos. I looked at the reviews and they were all pretty good so I clicked install. I went back to my home screen to see a wallpaper of me and my friend Mallory. I smiled at the picture and clicked the off button. I put it back in its charger and plugged in my earbuds. Skinny Love by Birdy came on and I carefully set my phone under my pillow. Sleep soon took over my body as I drifted off.

I woke up to fall out boy playing in my ear. I shut off my music and went downstairs. My mom not being anywhere in sight. I walked into the kitchen to find a note on the island.
' Ava,
I went out to meet your new babysitter. I'll be back in a couple hours.
Mom :-*
I sighed to myself knowing I would be having someone babysit me. I already get picked on enough in school and I can't imagine how much I'm going to get bullied by the popular plastic girls in my school. I was bored so I went upstairs and grabbed

my phone. I clicked on that 'Vine' app I downloaded before. I set up an account and clicked explore. Some people came up and the first one I saw was this Nash Grier kid. I clicked on his profile and looked at his most recent video. He was with a bunch of his friends and they were saying "do it" and "come on" a kid who I'm guessing was Nash ran to a container that said ' clothes and shoes' he covered up the 's' so it said 'clothes and hoes'. it was actually kinda funny. I scrolled down his account. He was really funny and may I add pretty hot okay more like to hawt to handle. I pressed the follow button and saw he had millions of followers. He must be famous or something. I went back to explore and found a bunch of other people. I ended up following Nash Grier cameron Dallas Shawn Mendes Aaron carpenter king Bach Taylor caniff kian lawley jc Caylen jack and jack (jack Johnson and jack Glinsky) carter Reynolds Matthew Espinosa de storm power Hayes Grier Trevor Moran Sam Pottorf Connor Franta Ricky Dillion and one direction. I saw some singing vines and some people say I can sing so I gave it a shot. I decided on singing Little Do You Now by Alex & Sierra. I pressed the camera box and held my thumb on the screen as I started to sing.

After six seconds I replayed the video. I thought it was okay so I put the caption
' first vine comment what you guys think and if I should do more!'
I posted the video and shut off my phone and got something to eat.

When I was done eating I grabbed my phone and noticed a lot of notifications especially from vine. I unlocked my phone and opened the vine app. I looked at my post and I had 12,258 likes and 7,894 revines. I looked in disbelief and clicked on the comments. Most of them said really nice thing like ' your really pretty' and 'you have a great voice do more!!!' I had 1.2k followers. omg. my eyes almost popped out of my head. I looked through my notifications and one that almost made me die. 'Shawn Mendes followed you' okay I know I just heard about him but he is a really good singer. I kept looking through them there was some things that said 'attention whore' 'slut' 'ugly' and shiz. but it didn't really bother me. I know I'm not any of those things so why listen. then I saw one and literally started jumping in excitement. 'Jack and Jack followed you' I've known the since day one. I love their music and they are pretty hot. I decided to make a YouTube Chanel so I can post full covers. I have a piano and guitar so I guess I could do covers. I don't know where I would record but I'll figure it out.

I finally got done making my YouTube channel. I wanted to do a cover so I went in my room to record. I'm going to use the camera I got a couple years ago for my birthday. I use to do photography so I knew how to use everything and do a perfect shot. I went in my basement and got my tripod. I brought it upstairs and got out my microphone. I got that a while ago too because my family knows I like to sing. I can also rap a little if I know the song. I set up everything and put my guitar strap over my head. I was going to sing All of Me so I practiced a little on my guitar. I haven't played in a while so I just need to warm up a little. I pressed the play button on on my camera and introduced myself.

"Hey guys! My names Ava Madison, and some of you might now me from vine. But this is my new YouTube Channel! So on vine I do covers so I thought I would do full covers on YouTube, so I'm going to be singing All Of Me by John Legend. and I hope you guys like it."

I started but got cut off by a knock on my door I stopped strumming and turned off my camera. "Come in" I said taking my guitar off of me. My mom walked in with someone behind her. I couldn't exactly see who it was though. My mom sat down and said " Ava this is your new babysitter." I looked up and almost passed out...
