Prologue-Did I deserve this

I always wondered in movies why people stay with their partners that cheat.I would always say why don't you leave them if they do it once they will do it again.

Now I know better when you love someone so much that you can't bring yourself to leave them.even if they stomp on your heart.

That's me right now.

Hi I'm Y/n L/n and I'm currently staying with someone who cheated on me.

The first time mikasa cheated I was devastated not only was it with one of my friends she had the nerve to blame me.

It wasn't always like this we were dating for 2 years and at first if was all lovey dovey.breakfast in bed and movie date nights.then she just started getting further and further away from me.

So I just buried myself into work then one night I came home late and saw her and Connie.

I ran out with tears streaming down my face.i ran and ran until I found myself at a bar.so I just ran in and drowned my sorrows in whiskey.

After a few hours I was stumbling out of the doors with men snickering behind me.i just ignored them until I tripped over my own feet and landed face first on the gravel.

I groaned before I heard footsteps coming closer to me.

"Ooh looks like the little girl is asking for it" a deep voice spoke.

"I don't know frank what if she's got a boyfriend" another one spoke.

"So what I'm about to pound her with or without you" the deep voice said again.

I hear their footsteps get closer and closer as I attempt to stand up.

Before they got to me I heard another voice.a girls voice.

"What is going on here" a woman spoke.

I got up before falling on my butt again.

"What's it to you lady" the deep voice yelled.

I look over at the lady really couldn't see much because of it was so dark.all I saw was the outline of glasses.

She fixed her glasses slightly before sighing.

"Well it seems like you two were going to take advantage of this poor lady" she says in a matter of fact tone.

I groan and close my eyes still feeling tipsy.

She ends up scaring the guys off and crouches down in front of me.

"Are you alright miss" she says with worry in her brown eyes.

I finally get a good look at her.

She has medium brown hair that is in a messy bun.brown eyes and she wears glasses.

She is also wearing a black pantsuit and sneakers.

I nod weakly.

She gives me a small smile before putting her hand in my face.

"How many fingers am I holding up" she asks moving her hand around.

I squint looking at it.

It changes from 2 to 1 to 5.

"Um 7" I say confused.

She chuckles lightly before grabbing my arm and throwing it around her shoulder.
She grabs my waist with her arm securely putting her hand on it.and she grabs my hand that's over her shoulder.

I gave her directions to my apartment building.before we got out she let me sober up.we walk to the front door and she sits me on the bench next to the entrance.

"Is there someone you can call to get you" she asks.

"Yeah my girlfriend the cheating whore" I whisper the last part but it looks like she heard.

"Alright are you sure you can call her" she says with worry.

"I'm sure just thank you pretty lady" I give her a small smile.

She looks away and chuckles before ruffling my hair.

"Alright be careful now" and she walks away to her car.

Her car fading into the distance of the night.

I sigh loudly before looking at my phone.

I chose not to call her and passed out on the bench.

Instead I woke up to a very angry mikasa.

Very long story short because that was 2 years ago.

I'm still with mikasa and we're engaged now.we have an adopted little girl named hope.and this might sound weird but she gives me hope she is 6 right now.because mikasa didn't stop cheating she just got better at hiding it.

I've caught her over 4 times and everytime she wins me back.she proposed about a month ago and I had to say yes because of hope.i stay with her because of hope.

I never saw that lady again and shes pretty much all I can think about.

I tried to google her but I just couldn't bring myself to and I probably wouldn't find her because I don't know her name.

Tomorrow I start a new job because I got fired.

So maybe I could make some friends.maybe that would be bad because what would the point of having friends that's who mikasa chooses to cheat with.

First it was connie.

Then annie

Then petra

Than jean which was not surprising.

The only good thing is hope is oblivious to it all.

All I can think at this point is did I do something to deserve this.
