Mr. Landers

Flashback

"Daddy, daddy! Daddy wake up! Please daddy!" Hayden cried. I watched as the little girl sobbed. She didn't understand and it upset me.

The next day child survives came to get her and it broke me. "Uncle! Don't make me leave! I don't want to leave!" She kept kicking and screaming. "Don't make me leave. I love it here! DON'T MAKE ME LEAVE!" I finally broke and ran towards her. "Listen baby I love you and I won't let anyone hurt you. I made a promise to your daddy to protect you, but I need you to go with these people. Okay?"

She slowly nodded and willingly went with them.

Watching her go was the hardest thing I could do. I had practically raised her because her father was too busy for her. At first she called me her dad but I automatically corrected her and explained. So instead of her calling me dad she took to calling me uncle.

We started training her the second she got back. Her social worker ended up a member of Scarlett Dragon, so she realized the importance of Hayden staying in Woodrook. She would always find foster homes here and we were all grateful for this. When she turned 14 we realized that we were ready for her to lead us.
