"What happened!" They all said at the same time. I closed my eyes and took a deep breath. I've never told anyone about Kevin abusing me. It made me nervous just thinking about telling someone, what if they told someone then everyone would know. Kevin would kill me if the police found out. Quietly under my breath I mumbled my step dad. Even though I whispered it, I knew they all heard me. "What about you're Mom does she know?" "Im not really sure. She died a few years ago." I replied. I felt doubtful, like she just disappeared I would never see her again. "Just because you can't see her doesn't mean she's not there. I don't see Heavenly Father but I still believe in him." I hadn't know these girls long but I feel so close like we've been friends since we were little girls. I felt safe talking to them like I could tell them anything and it would be our secret. "We need to tell someone, get you help. Take him to court, send him to jail. You can be free.
