[The song chosen to be "described" is Hello World, VS Hex Mod OST. Happy reading!]

As I was handing a couple their order I noticed the lights dimming. The same referee from last time stepped up on the stage with none other than Hex. I stared confused, quickly picking up the tray and walking over to the crowd gathering around the stage.

"Welcome back everyone! Today we have our debut challenge, with none other than Hex!" The referee announced him and the spotlight shifted to Hex. Cheering went up from around the club, I wasn't expecting rap battles to actually be hosted here.

"So let's just cut to the chase eh? Which one of you crazy folks want to challenge Hex!?" Multiple people either raised their hands or shouted to be heard above the others, they say lightning doesn't strike in the same place twice... Then why the hell was I picked again? The general irony of this situation was becoming laughable.

"Our first contestant is Y/N! Come up on the stage rookie!" He held a hand out to me, the crowd parted as I walked forward allowing the referee to hoist me up onto the stage. He handed me a spare microphone and I went to the spot across from Hex. "Now, you all know the rules. Mess up on a certain number of notes and you are?" the referee turned to the crowd waiting for an answer "DISQUALIFIED!" the crowd roared back.

"Excellent! Now let the battle begin." The referee stepped off the stage, the speakers started blasting the music. The lights dimmed with the first few sounds, then Hex began to sing. It wasn't what I expected, it was more electronic than anything but still managed to sound outstanding.

I had to repeat most of the notes, some we're difficult since his voice range was so exotic. The music started to quiet down a bit as we got closer to the build up, allowing each of us to do a solo. The crowd cheered at my part, was I really doing that good?

Hex took the lead again, this time singing around me. I repeated his notes taunting him in some way. The music became quieter now another solo for Hex... I had to admit, he may have been a robot but his voice was enchanting. I took my part in the solo repeating the notes as best as possible in a lower tone.

Then the beat dropped, Hex going in a higher pitch then before. I repeated his notes unable to go any higher but still managing. He made a different series of notes allowing me to repeat them, then harmonizing with me. Then he took the lead again as the crowd clapped along, I stepped in repeating the notes. We we're now just feeding each other's ego's.

We reached the end, the music slowing as we repeated the last few notes from the beginning.

The crowd went absolutely wild, the referee stepped back on the stage congratulating each of us. "Wonderful performance both of you! But now we have to announce our winner..." As he said this the crowd quieted, not wanting to miss this moment. "IT'S A DRAW!" surprisingly the crowd was accepting of this.

"You can challenge again next week each of you, but for now you can claim your prize in the back. Now our next challenger..." His voice faded as me and Hex walked to the back of the stage. Two envelopes we're sitting of a coffee table with our names on it, we each took them knowing what was inside.

"You we're amazing Y/N." Hex suddenly said, I turned to him and smiled. "Really? I thought you did better." I replied, Hex's cyan smile softened. "Well, until next time friend." Hex waved goodbye to me as he exited out the back door I waved as well, returning to serving people and wrapping up with my shift.
