How the dingo got its howl.

Once there was a dingo that was very lonely and upset. He lived in a desert with one tree and one little water hole. Some nights this same old owl comes along & hoots all night. Boy, that owl is annoying  as!! Once he ran out of water but some how the owl came and gave him some more water!! He was not expecting that!

Anyway, one day the Dingo got bored of the same water hole so he started to dig another one on the other side of the tree. Then he got bored of the same old water so, he jumped up and hit the tree hard, then a coconut fell from the tree and hit him one the head. 

"OUCH!!" he cried, "That really hurt me!"

And he waited for the day to end...

Later that night the owl came along and said, "HOOT, HOOT!!!!!!!"

"AH!! Go away!! You are SO annoying and you always say the same thing!! HOOT, HOOT HOOT!!!!" screamed the Dingo!

"HOOT!" The owl hissed, "HOOT, HOOT, HOOT!!" 

All of a sudden the Dingo jumped up and tried to climb the tree. He fell and hit the ground with a bang! The owl peeked over the edge of the branch and saw what he never ever thought he would see before the Dingo had jumped again but this time he was so close he grabbed the owl's tail and they both started to fall.The owl bit the Dingo's nose and his grip loosened and the owl flew away and the Dingo fell into the empty water hole. He jumped out and shook the dust & sand of his face. He saw the owl flying away into the distance so the Dingo started to run after him and did not look back.

He got a little bit closer and saw in the distance a few trees. It was still night and the owl disappeared into the trees. The Dingo looked up at the huge trees .  He looked back but he was lost!! The Dingo had no choice but to go in. He walked through the trees and found a little area with a cliff and a patch in front of the cliff  with no trees. It was a dark night, and a dark forest. The Dingo quickly ran to the little place in front of the cliff and tried to go to sleep but couldn't. Then he herd a noise and he jumped up & looked around. Then all of a sudden the bush moved and it traveled through to the other bush then a black shadow climbed up the tree and it jumped out and landed at the bottom of the cliff. It ran up the hill and it cried," HOWL!! HOWL!!" to the moon.

The Dingo was terrified and he whispered in shock, "Who are you? Please don't hurt me! There was this owl.."

 "Hush, he has a name." It replied.

 "What's it's name?" asked the Dingo, "Do you know?" 

"Of course I do!! He works with me!! I got him to go and find someone! Are you the thing he brought here?" It explained.

"I think so. But I don't know for sure." he responded, "Plus I'm not a thing! I'm a dingo!!"

"A Dingo? What's that? Some sort of wolf?" It asked

" Yes!! You don't know what I am? Oh my gosh!!"

"Well I've never met one before! So don't blame me!" It yelled

"Anyway, what are you? Are you a dog? You look like one!"

"Well I'm a type of one I think. I'm a wolf. I'm a wolf looking for a friend but I don't have one and I asked Lama Mama to find one for me and it looks like he did for me! I'm very glad he did!" The wolf said.

"What!! Who's Lama Mara? Asked the Dingo.

"Oh! I haven't Introduced you yet!! Silly me! I'll go introduce you to Lama Mama! Oh and it's Ma Ma! said the wolf as he started to walk off.

 "Wait!" called the Dingo,"Who are you really?" But it was to late he was gone to go get Lama Ma Ma!  

"Hoot! Hoot HOOT!" Someone hooted.

 "GR! HOWL HOWL!" Something howled and growled. Then, that same shadow appeared on the cliff but this time there was another shadow and it was the shape of an owl kind of bird shape.

"So this is Lama Mama! I hope you like each other!"Noted the wolf.

"This is Lama Mara! I mean Mama!"Cried the dingo,"This is insane! That annoying owl is! bu-bu-but!"

"Yup! This is Lama! And also do you stay awake at night or day?"Wondered the wolf

"It depends... if the owl is there or not!!"growled the dingo," And I need some sleep thank you very much!"

"But wait you can stay awake now and go to sleep in the morning!" begged the wolf as he jumped down of the cliff,"Pretty PLEASE!!

"Fine!"the Dingo answered in an annoyed voice,"But just tonight!"

Then the wolf jumped up and down with glee. He ran around in circles and talked and talked and talked! They got to know each other very well and became best friends! 

The next night the wolf taught the dingo how to hunt and how to run fast. Then he taught Dingo how to jump high and to hide well. 

Then on the next night the wolf taught the dingo how to HOWL!

A few nights after all that the owl came flying in.

"You know the drill Buddy!" whispered the wolf.

"Yup! I just hope i get it right!" agreed the Dingo.

"Here the next one comes!"

HOWL!!!!
