CHAPTER TWO:
Town Car

Tuesday

3:00 pm
As you looked up to make eye contact with the man standing before you, a sudden taste of disgust surfaced in your mouth.

"well look what we have here~" he stated as he pulled out the chair to your left. he still smelled faintly of perfume and had that same smug look on his face from this morning.

"never thought i'd see you again."

"yeah well i can't say i'm too pleased with this scenario." you bit back not making eye contact. after the two previous interactions you had with this man, you were not to ecstatic about sharing a seat with him for who knows how long.

"ouch, harsh. you don't even know me, my names e—"

"no. don't bother. i know plenty already and i'm not tryna get acquainted with you white boy." you said cutting him off before he could introduce himself.

it was silent for a few moments. still refusing to look at him again, you scrolled on your phone, attempting anything to escape from his presence. this was the last thing you expected and it did not please you.
is this your version of some sick joke God? cause i'm not laughing...

"look." he said in a more serious tone. "i get we got off to a bad start, but we have no choice but to work together, i mean we're desk partners, we don't have a choice. let's just start over and try to get along, alright?"

you debated whether or not to acknowledge him and look at him after his attempt at a reconciliation. i mean this guy just seemed like a jerk and you knew better not to ignore your gut feeling.

you set your phone down on the desk beneath you and turned your head to face him. trying not to admit it, his looks intimidated you a lil and his change of facial expression didn't help.

"fine. this doesn't mean i like you or will ever want to become anything even close to friends. we'll work together this year. i'm not failing a class just because i got put next to some cab stealing jerk."

"ohh yeah i remember you now, from this morn—"

"hey eren!" a female voice called, taking his attention.

"hey babe." he replied in a more monotone voice. raven black hair entered your field of vision causing a confused look to plaster on your face. she was beautiful. medium length hair, amazing body, soothing voice with a cute outfit on. however, completely different from the girl you caught a glance of this morning.

she walked up to him reaching out for a hug, which was half heartedly received. she made eye contact with you and flashed a small smile.

"hi, i'm mikasa. are you new?"

instantly feeling guilt and a bit of rage within you, you tried to suppress it to give her a proper greeting.

"yea, hi. i'm y/n. it's my first day, it's nice you meet you."

this girl seemed so sweet, way to sweet for this asshole in front of you. as much as your inner voice told you to not get involved, you couldn't help but poke the bear a bit. "so, is this your girlfriend?"

"yes she is." the asshole answered, shooting daggers at you. "aw that's so sweet, how long have y'all been together?"

"wow, feels like forever. we're childhood friends but we only started dating two years ago." mikasa answered smiling. "well i should head over to sasha, i'll talk to you after class. it was nice meeting you y/n."

"you too!" you replied as you watched the black haired girls take her seat.

as she disappeared from your general vicinity you directed your attention to the brunette next to you. "so eren, that's your girlfriend hmm."

"wow pretty and smart," he said with a smug tone. fighting back the urge to punch him in his pompous face, you just scoffed and shook your head. "so that's why you were buying my silence earlier, pathetic."

"you judge, but like i said you don't even know me. for now how about you just keep your mouth shut, y/n~"

"yeah you'd like that wouldn't you." you retorted, trying to ignore the feeling you got from how he said your name. "i mean i can think of some ways that could keep you quiet."

"tch, are you serious rn, isn't your girlfriend like right there?"

"and? i'm just trying to get to know my desk partner."

great, can this day get any worse?

after what seemed like the longest hour and a half of your life, the day was finally over. to say that last class was draining would be the understatement of the year. for the first half of the class all eren did was ask you dumb questions. you were sure the sole purpose of it was to annoying the living crap out of you, and it worked. to think you're going to have to be seating next to that cheating jerk killed you.

making your way out of campus, you were cursing yourself that you let him get to you. the only thing on your mind was his dumb little face and that stupid smirk he constantly did when he saw how annoyed you got by him.

this is going to be a long year...

unfortunately, just when you thought you could finally relax now that classes were over for the day, you look up from your phone to view the pouring rain through the glass doors. fr bruh? sighing to yourself because you thought the nice weather in the morning would last, you walk over to a small seating area and try ordering a lyft to take you home.

"hey!"

a loud deep voice takes away your focus from your transportation home, and sadly it was the absolute last person you wanted to see rn.

"can i help you?" you asked glancing over to the tall brunette with a dead look on your face. "sorry sweetheart i was just about to ask you the same thing." eren answered back. sweetheart? tf

"let me give you a ride, it's pouring and there's lightning," eren stated making his way towards you. "hah, that's ironic coming from the guy who stole my taxi this morning," you said look back down to your phone. "well fine then this is the least i could do," he said trying to convince you. "fine, but that still doesn't make up for it," you said rolling your eyes causing him to smile.

"alright well let's go, my cars outside."

"where, there's only a town car."

"yeah, it's waiting for me, come on."
