~Roanne's Point of View ~
It was another day of adoring him from afar. While we grabbed a bite to eat at the cafeteria, I continued to rivet my eyes on his stunning smile as he spoke to the girls that surrounded him. I didn't need to worry about whether or not he'll catch me looking at him, because he never did seem to look at me--not even a glimpse.
Does he even know I find him appealing? Well probably, I mean all girls do. How does this even work? I like him, he likes someone else, he continues to charm his way through school, and me-- I just remain in my corner, completely invisible.
"Hey you." he said.
"Hey Raph," I answered plainly.
"Inspecting Mr. Gilligan again, I see." he teased.
"As usual," I giggled. "Sigh, when will he ever notice me."
"Probably never." he chuckled. I sneered at him--"I'm kidding, I'm kidding" he continued.
This is Raph, he's quite an addition to my new-friends-list this year, but something about him makes me feel he's different from the recent acquaintances I've gained.
Weeks ago, we were grabbing our books from the lockers, afterwhich we said our temporary goodbyes as we head to our separate classes the coming hour...
My friends and I parted ways and I proceeded to our next class. While I walked along the hallway, I tried to not make gazing at Noel too obvious.
"Why do you always look at him?" a stray remark from a boy stopped me.
"Excuse me?" I said, not noticing he had already passed by my field of vision earlier, probably because I had my eyes on a different fella'.
"I said why do you keep looking at him?" he replied.
"Who?"
"Noel."
"Wh-what? I do not!" My voice sounding a little louder, but I tried my best to keep calm. I didn't even know the kid, yet he talks to me about such a sensitive topic! "Who are you anyway?"
"Yes, yes you do Roanne," he said with a smile.
"Why do you know my name?" I replied with a tinge of panic from my voice.
"My name's Raphael Fritz, nice to meet you," he replied totally unrelated to my question. Sort of, I mean I asked that minutes ago. I wondered if he was in his right mind or if he was a total crackhead.
"Don't come any closer, you creep!" I yelled.
"Okay, okay would you please relax. I just wanna be friends. I know you 'cause we have Elective together." he said as he moved closer trying to calm me down.
I stare at him, confused. "Then why do you know about Noel?"
"So you do admit it?" he chuckled.
I stayed silent and continued to walk, ignoring what may seem to be the weirdest kid on the planet. Nevertheless, he looked kind of normal, even better than normal.
He caught up to me and grabbed my arm gently, "Hey, hey. I'm sorry. I was just teasing, okay? It's just that everytime I look at you, you seem to be busy staring at Noel." He laughed.
"Y-you look at me? I-I mean why do you look at me?" I responded, quite taken aback.
"I-I mean when I happen to look at you, that's what I meant." he tittered.
