Today was a snowy winter day, you were walking home after school which meant passing by a large hill which was covered in snow. Normally, nothing would happen when you would pass by it. But today would be different, you could feel it in your guts, and you where correct.
You walked kicking up snow that would be carried off by the wind now and then. You halted after you had passed by half of the hill, as you saw a dog-like pokemon with a horn on the left side of its head. It was an Absol, a pokemon said to come to people when danger is present.
It seemed to be motioning for you to run, and that's what you did.
You didn't run towards the pokemon, but away from it, just fast enough to back away from the snow covered hill as a truck driver honked his loud horn saying to the driver in the car in front of him that he was pissed at how slow the other driver was going, causing a small avalanche, which was still big enough to kill you if you hadn't backed away.
"You ok?" asked a voice from behind you. You jumped, and turned around to see a boy the same around the same age as you. He was wearing a black tee, white, fuzzy collared coat, white jeans, and black boots. You were about to replied, and then you noticed that he had red eyes and white medium hair with a black zigzagging stripe in it.
"Hello?" the boy asked.
"Sorry, I was just thinking about something. And I'm ok, thanks for asking."
"That's great! I was afraid that you wouldn't l make it pass the hill before that truck would honk."
"How did you know that was going to happen, are you a physic?" you asked half joking about the physic part.
"I'm not a physic."
"Ok. By the way, what's your name. Mine is (Name) (Surname)."
"I'm Absol."
"Wow! You where named after a pokemon! That's awesome."
"No, I wasn't named after a pokemon. I am a pokemon."
Your eyes widened and you opened your mouth to say something, but no words came out. And then your phone rang. "Excuse me, for a minute," you said. Absol nodded and then answered the phone, to find your mom asking, "Are you ok? Where are you?"
"Mom, I'm ok, and I'm at the hill."
"Oh, ok. So you're talking about the one on our block right?"
"Yes."
"Ok. See you in a few minutes," your mom said and hung up the phone.
"You need to get home, right (Name)?" asked Absol.
"Yep. But we can still talk on the way," you replied and then you both started to walk.
It was quiet for a minute or two, and you where grateful that Absol broke the silence. "So.... um, what's it like to be a normal person?"
"Well, it's basically just the same as when you're a human, but without the worry of being found out, and we also have to go to school five days a week, seven hours a day. I have a question for you."
"Shoot."
"Don't you have a trainer?"
"Um... well I did. He kinda... well... he kinda died."
"Oh.... um sorry about that."
"It's ok, I mean he was mean."
"..Ok....."
"...."
"I know!! I can be your trainer!!" you yelled, then added in a softer tone, "Or just a friend."
"Sure. I guess you could be my trainer," he said and then he searched his coat pockets, an pulled out a poke ball and handed it to you.
Now, standing in front of your house Absol transformed into his pokemon self. And then you opened the door and walked in with Absol beside you.
"Hello (Name)!" Your mom said and hugged you. Then she noticed Absol, and said "Is that your pokemon?"
You nodded and then your mom smiled and said "My little (Name) is all grown up."
"MOM!! STOP EMBARRASSING ME IN FRONT OF MY FRIEND!!" you yelled as Absol silently laughed.
