Steve Rogers had just come back from a final time heist, he had decided against spending the remainder of his life with Peggy Carter and instead returned to the present timeline. "Sam we've completed our mission..." He said bleakly before looking over at him. "I managed to get a new shield too." He looked at him. "But not for me..." He said sighing softly. "What do you mean not for you?" Sam looked at him confused. "I've decided to give the shield up to the U.S government." He said looking over at him. "Why?" Sam said looking confused and a little worried. Steve responded with a deep sigh. "I think it's best I give it up, especially since the government haven't given me a pardon for what happened in Germany 7 years ago." He looked at him. "I'm going to make a speech and stand down tomorrow..." He said before walking off. "What the government does with it is their decision." He said while walking off back into the compound.

Wanda Maximoff was standing in the halls of the Avengers compound sighing softly, hurt by everything that had happened recently. She had lost the love of her life, The Vision and had said her goodbyes to him after the Wakandans had given the Android, Steve noticed her standing as she looked quite down. "Something the matter?" He said looking over at Wanda as he spoke with a gentle tone. Wanda looked at him staying silent for a few seconds before responding to what he had said. "I don't know how I can be happy again..." She said quietly sounding hurt. "I found that when it was all over I had nothing left because of him..." She said sadly. "He destroyed the Vision before dusting me for 5 years and when I returned home I found that everything I had of my brother in the compound had been destroyed too..." She said as she began to sob slightly.

Steve looked over to her before walking over to her hugging her slightly. "I'm sorry Wanda..." He said quietly. "I know it must be hard especially since you've had a tough life..." He said sighing softly. "I wish we could bring the dead back but we can't..." He said thinking to Natasha Romanoff and Tony Stark who had given their lives for the Avengers to be victorious. "If only they were still here..." He said now being on the verge of tears. "Steve..." Wanda said looking at him. "Whatever happened to them wasn't your fault, no matter how hard you blame yourself..." Wanda said knowing how Steve felt extreme guilt a lot of the time if something went wrong. "As you told me once, we can't save everyone..." She said sadly. "But I know that they'd be happy you survived." She said as she let go after a long emotional hug.

Steve looked over at her. "Are you busy tonight..." He said curiously. "It's just I thought you might like to get your mind off things." He said smiling slightly. Wanda looked over to him before responding. "No I'm not." She said smiling back at him. "Would you like to do something?" She said curiously, you know like watch a movie." Steve nodded. "8 O'clock tonight?" He asked sounding hopeful. "Sounds great..." Wanda said before walking off. "See you at 8." She said smiling softly looking back at him.
