I am angle winter , I am 20 years old and I haven't found my mate yet but I am hoping that I will . Many girl's find there mate when they are 18 because that's that day you change into your wolf .However that wasn't the case for me . I remember the day of my 18th birthday and being so happy that I will find my mate but it never happened. I didn't talk to anyone for a week after that , I was just so upset but I knew that sitting around being sad about it wasn't going to change anything .It didn't help to see all my friends with their mates , of course I was happy for them but when I saw them with their mates all I could think about was mine , what he looked like , where he was .so I made the decision to move and it was the best thing I ever did because I found my mate .

This is how it began ....

I stared at myself in the the full length mirror , I was wearing a short black dress that comes up to my thighs . I also had my brown wavy hair out that flows down to my back . I only had little makeup on as I have natural beauty and I don't like it that much .

' I'm ready ' I thought

Today I turn 18 and its not just special because I am an adult , but also because I turn into my wolf for the first time , this means that I will be able to recognise who my mate is .

If your all wondering what a mate is , its someone who will love you no matter what , take care of you and the person you will spend the rest of you life with . Yes you can reject you mate but it would cause you pain and your mate ,  because you my not want your mate but your wolf will and they can't stand to be away from each other  . so that's why hardly anyone rejects their mate .

I took a last glance at myself in the mirror and made my way to to my bedroom door.

' I hope I find my mate today ' I thought as I opened my bedroom door

I slowly made my way down the spiral staircase , all too soon my feet toughed the last step .

' Honey you look beautiful ' my mum said with a smile 

' Thank you , I really hope I will find my mate '  I replied

' Don't worry , I'm sure you will ' my mum said and walked off .

I couldn't help but think what if I don't find my mate . I have dreamed about my mate since I was little and I always hoped that I would find him on my 18th birthday but I am not so sure now . Many people don't find their mate on their 18th birthday either because there mate is dead or because he lives somewhere else . I shook those thoughts out of my head .

I looked around the room , people were drinking or dancing . I spotted my friends and made my way over to them .

' Hi girls ' I said

' Hey angle , happy birthday ' My friends replied . I only have three best friends , they are Louise , Jenna and Eleanor . They all turned 18 last week and have all found their mates .

' thx ' I said

' Angle , have a drink ' my Best friend Louise said .

' Have you forgotten that I don't drink ' I asked looking at her with a confused face

' No but can't you just have one drink , it's your 18th birthday you have to make the most of it ' louise said passing me a shot . I took it out of her hand and looked down at the green substance .

' Do I have to ? I asked pulling my head up . I have never had a drink of alcohol in my life . so I don't know what to expect .

' yes you do ' my best friend Jenna replied . I put the glass to my lips and downed the drink . wow I thought , I may not know alot about alcohol but I do know that it was strong .

' fuck , that is strong ' I said to my friends as I put the glass on the table . They all laughed

I looked at the clock on the wall it read 10:45 ,  it was almost time for me to shift into my wolf . When we first shift it has to be at 11.00 because it gives us enough time to shift and find our mate before the day ends . Also because that is when our wolfs want to come out , so we can't help it .

' OMG , OMG , OMG  I LOVE THIS SONG  ' Eleanor shouted as , scream and shout by Will I am blasted through the speakers . She graped my hand and pulled me towards the dance floor . We moved are hips to the music . The song ended and we made our way back to were the girls were sitting .

' Everyone can I have your attention  '  My dad commanded . My dad was alpha of our pack . This means that I am the alpha's daughter , that's why everyone from the pack was here because everyone had to be their when I shifted .  

' My daughter Angle will have her first shift today and find her mate ' Everyone one cheered when he said this .

' so can we make our way outside ' My dad shouted ,  everyone started to make there way outside , we have to shift outside as it has more space and because our wolfs like being outside .

I made my way outside , everyone was standing in a circle . I went an stood in the middle of the circle .

' It's time ' I thought .
