Do you believe in ghosts, monsters, and even aliens? If you believe in them, then you are an idiot person for me. Some people believe that they may exist. The universe is vast. There are many stars out there like our own star, the Sun. They say it’s impossible if there were no creature aside from us. Well, I don’t listen to them either. Whatever they say, I really don’t believe that they exist. However, the fate proves me wrong.
I was walking in the corridor in the late afternoon. Suddenly, I have noticed that there is someone who is following my path. I try to walk fast as soon as I could but that person does the same.
“You walk so fast! Wait!” he shouted.
“Who are you? Why are you following me? Please don’t kill me!” I replied.
“No! I’m your classmate, you are Annabeth, right?” he asked. I stopped and I turned my head. Oh, it’s Leo. He is my seatmate and my crush since 3rd year high school. What was he doing here? Oh, look at that face. So, s-so h-ha-han-ndsome!
“A-are you okay, Annabeth?” he asked.
“Eh? No-nothing… Why are you here? Why are you following me?” I replied.
“Uhm, there is something… something I really want to tell you.” Leo asked. From that, I saw Leo’s face was so red. What was that mean? Did he really love me?
“Yeah?” I replied.
“I know that you and Julie are best friends right? I-I…”
“What?”
He continues, “I really, really like Julie and I want you to help me? Can you?”
Of course, I say yes. There’s a saying, “if you love somebody, let them go.” I know that it hurts. Reality bites. It’s so sad that he likes my best friend better than I am. We were so close and I thought that he likes me too. Yeah, I a kind of a person who is so assuming. There are many people that I’ve liked much but they don’t feel the same way. Maybe, I’m an ugly person and nobody likes me. Well, I accept that it’s my fate. I really hate this day, ever!
Next day, I woke up late. Why so I? Why would I go to school so early, to see him? It’s over. I’m hopeless. My efforts are worthless. *Sighs* In school, I approach Julie and ask her a conversation.
“Leo was so handsome, right?” I asked.
She gasped. “Eh? S-sort of, why you asked? Do you like him?”
“Of course not, we’re just friends. I have a question, do you like Leo? I won’t tell if you do.”
She blushed. “Sort of, please don’t tell anyone especially Leo. I’m begging you!”
“Okay, okay. I-I have s-something to tell you Jul, j-just take of friend L-Leo huh?”
“W-what! Wait, are you crying?” she asked.
“Hahahaha. No, I’m just happy for you. You’ll know later. Oops, gotta go. I still have a class. Bye!” Indeed, their feelings are mutual and there is no way that I can change anything. I know that Leo is planning to propose Julie as his girlfriend. I won’t go there either, I don’t know. I don’t want my feelings to be hurt anymore. I really want to die now. I can’t take this anymore. After an hour, there are students shouting over there. I go over there to watch and ask what is going on. It was a great timing that I saw Leo kiss Julie’s forehead. I just imagined that what if I’m in that position. What was my feeling then? Is it nice? I really want to feel it even just a second if the fate gives me a chance. Seeing them happy together is a disaster form me but I accept because they are my friends. Suddenly, my heart cannot resist anymore and I just run and run out to the school while crying. Julie noticed me running and she followed my path and she wonders what’s happening to me. However, I didn’t notice that there is a train coming towards me. Julie shouted. I turn my head and there was a headlight coming towards me and that moment, I can feel my end is near and I just close my eyes.
“Are you okay?” the stranger asked.
I opened my eyes and I noticed that everything has stopped. “W-who are you? Am I in heaven? H-how did you do that? I replied. That man disappeared in the front of me and left me in the side walk. Who is that person? I remember that man but I don’t know where and when. He saves my life from that train. Who is that man, a ghost, an alien?
