The Elements

The Beginning

As if this day could get any worse, pressed up against a locker, being forced to give up my 10 dollars I had been saving up all week to get lunch. My mom is single and she doesn't have much money because of bills and groceries, so I have been doing work around the street for money so I can eat lunch. But, of course, my school bully always targets me, obviously I ignore him but this time he's actually serious. "Now I see why everybody talks bad about you," I say, still being pushed against my locker. He slowly put me down and ran away, "That was weird." I say to myself. All of the sudden, the school bell rings indicating the day is over. I walk outside and meet up with my friends. "What do you guys want to do?" my friend Jack asks. I reply "Why don't we go on an adventure in the forest, there's a pile of rock with a hole we can fit in I found the other day." We all agree and start walking in the direction of the forest. After walking for a while, we finally arrived at the cave, "Here we are," I said, "Now who's ready to go down there?" They all raised their hands and I pointed to the hole. We all entered the hole on by one, expecting a bunch of bats or something but instead we all got lead into separate tunnels. At last, I had stopped sliding, and there was a huge gap in front of me, leading to another part of the cave, but where were my friends? Jalissa? Jack? Where were they? All of the sudden I hear a female voice say, "Where is everybody? Brayden? Jazali?" so, I replied to the voice, "Jalissa is that you?" but before she could respond I heard everyone yell, "Where is everybody!?" I explain the situation to everyone and look around for anything that can get me across. I look to my left and there was a long stick. I pick up the stick and realize I can use it like a vaulting pole. "Everyone," I say, "look for a long stick, you can use it as a vaulting pole!" Once I knew that everybody had a pole I said, "Go!" I ran forwards, put the stick's end on the ground and pushed forward. Before I could even blink, I was at the other side. I ran to the tunnel that was straight ahead of me and slid down. I knew I was reaching the end because I saw a bright light dead ahead. I went into the bright light, but to my surprise, I was in another dark cave, but this cave had stone orbs, and before I could examine them Jalissa landed in front of the floating orb that was emitting gravity defying water. Then comes Jack, and he lands in front of the orb on the very right, emitting air. Then Jazali slides down and lands in front of the orb with vines coming out of it. Finally, Ophelia lands next to me, in front of the orb emitting flames. I was in the middle, in front of the one emitting lightning bolts. After a good minute of silence, Jack blurts out, "What in the matrix heck!" while speed walking to the electricity orb. He tries to touch it, but he gets flung to the orb he landed in front of. Me, being stupid like always, decides to touch it, but instead of flinging me across the room, I start glowing and start emitting enough energy to light up a continent! All of the sudden, a lightning bolt hit me and I was gone in a single flash of light. I was now outside of the cave, probably above the cave we were just in. Just then, I feel a sudden gust of wind, then a splash of water, then a wave of heat, and finally a vine come past my head. All my friends appeared out of nowhere! But this, was only the beginning.
