The Elements

With great power, comes great problems

My friend's eyes somehow get even wider to the point where it looks like they're going to fall out. I turn around and all of the city had gathered around me, people recording me, and taking pictures. I grab all of my friends and teleport home. "Ugh, feels weird every time." I say. My friends turn to me so surprised and scared that I can feel their hearts beating without even being near them. Just then my mom walks in and says, "What is tha- how did you guys get in here?" There was an awkward silence for a few seconds because I was giving my friends the look of Don't you say a word but I guess Jalissa couldn't help it. She just blurted out, "We teleported using lightning!" I shout, "Oh, come on Jalissa!" and we all started arguing, forgetting my mom was in the room. I stop arguing and turn around frozen. "I'm going to have a hard time explaining this one..." I say. My mom gives me the look of You better tell me what's going on, so without saying anything, I make a ball of lightning in my hand. I then throw that ball at my closet door and absolutely destroy it. "Eh, who needs doors anyways... heh" I say, right as my mom passes out. I was going to say something, but the moment I start talking, the ground starts to rapidly shake and I fall on my butt. I stand back up and look out a window and to my surprise, there were tanks, police vehicles, and S.W.A.T. trucks outside of my house. I run into my closet, and instantaneously come out in a super hero uniform and my eyes glow white. Their weapons rose and were pointed straight at me. "What kind of bullets ya' got in those things?" I said, "If they're metal or iron or anything like that, well, they DEFINITELY won't do the job if you're planning on shooting me." One of the soldiers said to me, "We just want to know the source of your powers." I reply, "Unfortunately, I can't do that because you'll get these powers and become evil, it will override your minds, because only certain people were meant to wield the power!" That soldier raises his hand and says, "I guess we're doing this the hard way." he moves his hand to make all of his fingers point at me. Another soldier fires a sleeping dart at me, but before it reaches me, a bolt of lightning strikes the soldier that shot at me and the dart too. "Now I don't want to hurt any of y-" I start to say, but I get cut off by a scream from inside the house. I yell out as I'm running inside "We'll finish this in a second!" I run into my room to find Jalissa staring in shock at her hand as it starts to emit gravity defying water water! "Oh... my... GOD!" All of us say. Just then, my nightstand moves to the side and a big screen comes up beeping. "Uhhhhhh, looks like I've got a mission!" I say, "Also, Jalissa, you might want to get  a control of that thing because you're going to help me!" She yells at me "How!" "Imagine that you are one with the water, and put an image in your mind of what you want the water to do and it will do it!" I said, nearly passing out from a lack of air. She closes her eyes and the water starts to form a giant fist around her own. She opens her eyes and her eyes grow wide. "Now!" I say in an exited tone, "We're going to go catch some bad guys at the mall!" We teleport to the mall and as I walked through the mall I said, "My name is lightning man, and I am here for someone with a gray hat and hoodie walking out of the game store!" They all turned and pointed at a man hiding under a bench. I fly over to him and take the games and say "I'm sorry kid, but you have to pay for these." His arm quickly stretches around me and throws me into the statue of Abraham Lincoln! I was scared to the point where all I could say was "Jalissa!" She runs over and...
