Chapter 5 - The Feast

Raya POV

"What should I wear?" I asked. "Something formal." "I thought you hated formal wear." I retorted. "Yeah, but my mom really doesn't so it's kinda better to follow her guidelines." Namaari said. I laughed a bit and nodded. Pff. Why should I wear something to dazzle Namaari? I should uh.....try to make the other clans impressed...... I wore the clothes that I hated most, and me and Namaari stood side-by-side. Namaari's mom slapped her daughter's hand, and whispered, "Act like a lady." "Yeah, I'll pass." Namaari said boldly. I wish I had her confidence.  We walked towards the table and I felt a chill ripple at my heart. What if I messed up? "Sisu!" I said as I hugged her. "Where's my favorite Fang princess!" Sisu said to Namaari. "I'm here Sisu." It was weird that she could make anyone smile.

 I felt better already. Sisu, Namaari and I sat at the table with Tong, Boun, and Noi and her, uh, monkeys..... I sat next to Noi and she had the congee all over her face. I smiled and took a napkin, to wipe her face. She babbled something and started sucking on her finger. I silently ate the congee, which was surprisingly fantastic. "Who made this? It's amazing!" Sisu said, as if she had read my mind. After the feast, I led Namaari to the dragon gem. "Whoa. Why did we come here?" She said. "Well, mostly because no one does. Just me and my ba so no one will tell us how to be a lady."  Namaari chuckled. "Thank you....You've been very helpful." Namaari said. I spun around, my eyes wide.

YEAH!!!! I really don't deserve this so thanks so much!! How did you like the cliffhanger? I used to HATE them when I was a kid and now I'm evil!! When I had cliffhangers I was like NUUUU. MUAHAHAH!!
