I sighed walking over to the door. I was nervous and a bit scared. Anyone would be nervous for their first day at school.
It didn't help that I was a bit uncomfortable with the short skirts. Maybe I could ask the student body for a longer one. Still, I needed something to calm my heart.
I quickly walked back into the house and rummaged through my closet. I pulled out a large hoodie that was stuffed into the back of my closet.
I donned the hoodie feeling comforted by its warmth. I walked back through the empty house, averting my eyes away from the alter of my late parents. I felt my stomach turn with sadness instead of fear for a second.
I paused for a second looking at my front door. My hand hesitates to grab the knob and twist it. I took a deep breath erasing all my doubts. I walked through the door only stopping to bend down and check the extra key under the fake rock in the garden.
I smiled noting it was there. I quickly jumped back to my feet and looked around to see if anyone saw where the key was hidden. I smiled even wider seeing no one in the area.
I walked out of the yard and closed the gate behind me. I locked the gate and turned to walk away only to walk right into something that felt like a wall.
"Woah!" I stepped back very much surprised. I paused rubbing my head as I looked up only being meet with the most handsome guy I'd ever seen.
I felt myself turn to stone for a moment looking up at this man. He seemed equally surprised, his face completely crimson.
"H-Hi." I said looking up at the man.
"Oh, um. Hi." He said slowly. We both stared at each other in silence for a few moments. While we looked at each other I noticed the uniform he was wearing was pretty similar to mine. My mind wandered thinking about if he was a new student like me.
"Oh um sorry. I didn't introduce myself." His words snapped me out of my thoughts. I watched as the man extended his hand toward me.
"I'm Daniel Park, it's nice to meet you." He said as I smiled and grabbed his hand. I watched as his face when a bit redder at that. He must not hang around girls often.
"I'm (full name), it's nice to meet you too," I said, not realizing this would be the worst mistake I'd ever make.
