She was distraught and thought she lost it all
And knew her knees wouldn’t support her if she falls
She knew it was the end of a chapter
But what she didn’t know was that it would be a beautiful story after
She endured sleepless nights and continuous tears
And held a silent tongue concealing all her fears
She trusted no man but God, and herself
Even though she would have loved someone’s help
But still she had hope and a light burnt inside like a candle
Maybe not bright enough to light up her world but certainly an angle
She took great care in making sure that light stayed alive
As she believed it was what made her hang onto to dear life.
