She was distraught and thought she lost it all

And knew her knees wouldn’t support her if she falls

She knew it was the end of a chapter

But what she didn’t know was that it would be a beautiful story after

She endured sleepless nights and continuous tears

And held a silent tongue concealing all her fears

She trusted no man but God, and herself

Even though she would have loved someone’s help

But still she had hope and a light burnt inside like a candle

Maybe not bright enough to light up her world but certainly an angle

She took great care in making sure that light stayed alive

As she believed it was what made her hang onto to dear life.
