Farewell
I was in the penultimate year of Burney McCond High School in California, but I had to say goodbye to my friends before I even made my dreamy last year there. My father was called to work at a company in Las Vegas, Nevada.
And I was still trying to accept that I was going to a new college. At the same time, when I was anxious, I was nervous about how they would welcome me, I never got along in new schools, I can say I'm shy and a little clumsy to start a friendship with someone unknown. I'm not good at it.
I enjoyed my last day in California at Santa Monica beach with my best friends: Alissa, Theo, Chloe and Noah.
- Brooke! - exclaimed Alissa upon seeing me coming - I cannot believe that this is the last time we will see each other. - her eyes filled with tears as she hugged me
At the moment I wanted to break down in tears, but it was inevitable by saying goodbye to the people who were part of my childhood, I know that we could make video calls and exchange numerous messages. But it wouldn't be the same as being every Friday at The Hobbit asking for the same family size giant pizza just for us. And on Saturdays at Santa Monica Beach playing volleyball, taking a 3-story pickle in the pier in front of the famous amusement park, bonfire and see Theo playing guitar and Noah super challenged singing old songs. And you never know when I'll be back in my favorite town.
- Okay, enough of that drama, if I'm not going to cry too! - said Noah - Let's go to Hobbit for that delicious pizza, Brooke will miss.
We stayed until 11:00 tonight, and we said goodbye, which was the hardest part. But I never imagined that living in Vegas I would be living a dream of a 16-year-old teenager.
