Y/N'S POV

Strange.

I dreamt of him last night. Kwon Soonyoung.
Yeah, that guy.

The one whom I spent my early days with.
The one who would offer me ice cream, the one who would chase me around the playground, the one who would listen to my gibberish..

back in 2008.

He's just a memory. Hell, I don't even know where he is. Till this day, he hasn't contacted me about why he randomly left and never came back. Never apologised for leaving me alone. Never.

I dreamt of him last night. Yes, I did. A short dream. He handed me an ice cream with his tiny little hands. We were kids in the dream. Obviously, well, I never got to see his grown-up self.

My mom loved him a lot. He was always hanging around with my family when we were younger.
Pretty much the only male that respected my mom.
My dad was an alcoholic. Drinking alcohol each time he came back stressed from work, it eventually got worse. He started hitting my mom. She suffered from bruises everytime but would put on a strong front for me. She did everything for me...
but soon enough, she was diagnosed with alzheimer's.

Ever since Soonyoung moved out, my mom's been asking where he went. I always have to tell her that he's moved out. And I'm getting tired of it.

Oh. And my dad moved out. He got a divorce with my mom and found another woman. They're married now with two kids. Sucks.

I work part-time at a cafe to support me and my mom. Once I graduate, I'll find a proper job. Hopefully.

"Y/N, school...."

"I know, Mom," I grabbed my bag and keys.
"See you later," I put on my shoes and went out of the house.

As I was walking towards the school's entrance, I see an unfamiliar face talking to the security guard.

Was he really unfamiliar, though?
