"Yeah, I'm good why?" because he didn't want people to worry about him because he is in enough pain. His mum told him "Your principal informed us tha-" Axar cuts her off and says
" mum do i really need to know i'm fine... ok"
"but-" his mum started "MUM, i told you im ok" , the boy replied before making his way back up to his room.
