"You've got to be kidding me!" This isn't happening. It must be a mistake. "Its you! This is my worse nightmare!" I groaned.

He glared at me. "Your worse nightmare?! I'm stuck with a nerdy prude who thinks she's  better than everyone for the rest of my life!"

Scowling, I yelled, "Oh my god, I feel sooo sorry for you!" Maybe I was going overboard. "I'll never be able to have kids."

He turned to look at me. "Why not?" He hissed.

I turned up my nose. "I won't want my poor children to have to go through the struggle of looking like.... Like.. You!" I gestured wildly to his face.

He smirked at me. "Baby, please. I can see it in your face that you want me."

"Yea, I want you to get hit in the face with a metallic baseball bat." I grumbled under my breath.

He smirked."Then you won't be able to look at my gorgeous face."

"Good." I said smiling grimly.

He snickered. "You're cute when you're mad."

I facepalmed. What a jerk.

"You know Chance, I ever wanted to kill myself, I'd jump from your ego down to your IQ." I smirked, proud of my joke.

He didn't seem phased. "Oh Angela, I don't think that you'd die. You know, considering my 4.0 GPA?"

The smirk fell off my face. Well shit. "Whatever."

"Let me see that." He grabbed my hand, roughly.

"Hey what are you doing?" I grumbled.

He scowled at me. "What does it look like I'm doing?"

He continued to observe the thing on my hand.

I was about to make a snappy comeback when he dropped my arm and started walking in the opposite direction.

It took me a few seconds to realize that he wasn't exactly sticking around to 'get to know each other'.

I sighed heavily before following him. "Hey, hold up. Shouldn't we do something about this?"

He continued walking, ignoring me completely.

"Don't you think-"

He spun around almost knocking me down again. "Do something about what?"

I was speechless for a few seconds.

"Well umm... This. Its obviously a mistake... maybe we can go talk to-"

His eyes flashed with something I didn't recognize and frankly didn't want to get cozy with. "A mistake? You think this is a mistake?"

My mouth opened and shut. "Well.. I reckon it might be you know since we uh.. Hate each other." I said emphasising 'hate'.

"Goddammit Angel, don't you think these people know what their doing? This isn't just some little run of the mill invention, you know."

My eyes widened.

"What?" He snapped, catching my expression.

He called me Angel. "You uhh... maybe we can.. Nevermind."

I looked down at the ground, tracing invisible patterns with the toe of my platform. Normally, if it was someone else, I wouldn't suggest that we find a way to change the situation. But this is Chance Holiday.

I heard him sigh. "What is it, Angel?"

I shook my head. I didn't need to get him angry right now.
