The next morning, at the pawnshop, Mr Gold was in the back trying to fix a watch but failing. He looked in the mirror and saw his hair as he prepared to cut it.
Once he was finished he walked out of the back room with his new appearance.

Mr Gold was the Evil Queen stood there holding a glass apple and she looked at him, "Wow. Look who cleans up nice. I like it. Highlights your eyes," She said.

"We're closed," Mr Gold said as he took the glass apple from her.
"Oh, for me, I think you'll make an exception. Why the change?" The Evil Queen said as she brushed her hand down the side of his face.

Mr Gold grabbed her hand and pulled it away from his touch, "That would be my business," Mr Gold said.
Mr Hyde walked up behind Mr Gold, "Changing your appearance can't help you," Mr Gold turned to him with a glare, "Oh, you can change the outside, but what's inside is still there," Mr Hyde said.
"Get out, both of you," Mr Gold said.
"In due time. I'm looking for something I believe that you have it here, an old cameo necklace," Mr Hyde said.
"I know the one," Mr Gold said.
"Give it to me," Mr Hyde said.
"And what will you be giving me in return?" Mr Gold asked.
