life is one shot, so is this poem.

She looks at the storm as it it stirred, and the sound of rain droplets she heard.

"Dance under the rain. Dance and forget all the pain" she told herself, an unmistakable glint in her eyes. The rows of lashes crowding her eyelids merge together as she closed her eyes and pushed herself towards the galactic skies.

Her big, honey eyes focused on nothing in this vast space, and she imagined that her worn out dress was made of the finest silk, topped with dainty lace.

She looked around at all the people that merely existed in her mind, and she breathed "oh, if only I was one of their kind"

Her feet moved on their own, dancing to her heartbeat when the only sound audible was the rain hitting the hard concrete.

Splish, splash.

Every breeze of icy air waltzed around her ebony hair. Every droplet of rain camouflaged her tears of pain. With every lightning bolt, she thought of the feelings she locked away in a vault. And every timer the thunder would roar, she grew determined not to let anyone open the door.

Her tanned arms danced around in ever direction as she felt nothing of this neglection. When she opened her eyes once again they filled with tears, and suddenly she couldn't bare to let go of these feelings, these fears.

A single, choked sob slipped from her throat as she was absent-mindedly looking far away, staring. Then in the fraction of a second, appeared the reason she was still daring.

Aurum strings of sunlight broke through the blankets of dark clouds as birds started singing the most beautiful of sounds. Tree leaves gently tickled her side as the water drops hurried to hide.

The sky had become a brilliant blue and her gaze stuck to it like there was some kind of invisible glue. The breeze slowed down its pace and suddenly the world was smiling in her face.

Oh, the earth was such a colorful place, even after the darkest of days.

She throws her hands up and breathes the air, very much fascinated by how much she could bare. And looking down at her plain white dress she saw no holes, no patches, no stains. Maybe it was all just stress.

Her eyes gleam with hope and she knew she had gained the ability to cope. Her face grew brighter and she gave herself a pat on the back, "well done, little fighter"

A stunning butterfly treads by and she follows it with much adoration in her gaze.

Life, it's such a mind-blowingly puzzling maze;

Just when you think you're getting the hang of it you're challenged with a dead end, whilst when you feel as if you were straying off the path you find yourself making the rules magically bend.

Maybe the reason life tears us to parts is to give us the chance to piece our souls back again, but without the useless shards.

Slowly, she looks up at the cotton candy clouds and remembers the times she struggled to make ends meet, the times she could barely get on her feet.

She reaches her arms up to the stars and casts a shadow on her beautiful auroral eyes.

"Dance in the sun," she whispered "dance and remember all the fun"

Her face broke into a toothy grin as she pirouetted around in her exotically plain dress. Life was much too flavorful for her to organize this mess.

Life was beautiful just the way it was, and no one could ever convince her otherwise.
