~Y/n's POV~

"Goddamnit y/n kick harder! You did earlier." Natasha was pissed. I was tired. We both just wanted this training session to end. I didn't need it nor did I actually want it. I knew I was better than her and everyone else on this damn team. Sometimes I wish I never took the Avengers job. They must know something considering they recruited me out of nowhere. I didn't even notice that they knew everything about me...well except the darkest thing I've kept hidden. A hero. A hero is something I've always wanted to be, I had a dark magic touch so I could use magic but I was also trained very well with combat style fighting. Daggers and swords were my signature weapons.

"Nat. I'm tired I just want a drink. Isn't it bad enough I sprained my ankle." It pained me like hell to have a sprained ankle...I mean it felt like literal hell. Being 103 does a toll on you. I gave her a glare as I walked out of the room trying my hardest just to make it to the island for a drink. "Y/n!" Steve shouted as the captain. I rolled my eyes considering I don't necessarily get along with him as much as everyone would like. I put up with him only cause of the job but honestly I didn't care for him. "Yes cap?" I smiled knowing it was the only thing that turned him on. I was a bit of a flirt and a brat but being as I could careless and had no one it didn't matter much. "Don't start." His warning tone sending chills down my spine. "What is it cap? I have an ankle to take care of."

The brattiness in my voice was evident as I turned around twisting my face slightly as the sharp pain pulsed. "I wanted you to meet my best friend... Bucky." I raised my eyebrows looking at the man next to him. I recognized him. The winter solider. The person I was hired to kill multiple times. I hated him, he was cocky and because of his arm he flexed his skills more than needed. I laughed quietly but thankful because my mask covered my face from the nose down. Just like him I wore a mask as well considering the job I used to have I always wore it claiming it's part of my armor. The team has seen me with it off a lot but now...it's not safe to take it off even if I wanted too.

I scoffed trying not to analyze Bucky. "Whatever." I turned around back to my glass realizing it was a waste of bourbon. "Y/n! Manners." Steve's assertiveness hissed at me. I only laughed turning my head looking him up and down. "Shut up Steve. What are you? My daddy?" I batted my eyelashes laughing even more while limping away. Regretting I couldn't walk anyway in cooler way because of the injury but it was whatever.

That was over a year ago. I still haven't taken my mask off and Bucky has never uttered a word to me other than "either move or get punished." Which was different.

~one year later~

You sat on Steve's lap obviously bored out of your mind. There hasn't been a mission in over a month, while everyone was enjoying the break I was going crazy out of my mind. My veins coursed with adrenaline. I continued bouncing on Steve's leg with boredom as his arms suddenly came around me. "Stop moving y/n. I don't have time for your brattiness." I rolled my eyes. He's gotten sick of my brat side over the years so we came up with an agreement and signed a contract as a dominant and submissive. "Whatever." Scoffing again. I watched the smirk across his face. "Take off the mask." I watched Bucky walk in out of nowhere sitting down in the chair watching us intently most likely wanting to talk to Steve. "Now."

My eyes widened. I silently pleaded with him not to do this right now. I knew he caught on. I would take off my mask to only put it back on when Bucky would enter a room. The day I decided sparring with him would be a good idea I was wrong. I watch the realization hit his face as he recognized my signature moves but couldn't figure out who I was. "Steve-" the grip around me tightened. "What did I just say?" No evidence of joking or laughing I got off of his lap walking away but before I got too far I was backed against a wall. Bucky. This was a setup. "Doll. Take the mask off." I gasped as he spoke up. It was unnatural. Ever since he got here he's never talked to anyone but Steve and that one sentence he shot at me that one day.

I turned my head to see Steve behind him. I tried grabbing the daggers on my thigh but it was no use. Within seconds my hands were pinned against the wall. "Y/n! We have a mission for you, and the super soldiers." Tony's voice echoed the wall almost on cue. "Thank the gods." I muttered under my breath. Bucky released me creating a huge distance as Tony walked in. "Perfect what is it?" Excited fo finally get some action. "You're not going to like it." He huffed knowing I might have flashbacks of the torture I went through when people found out. "The black soldiers...they're back."

My eyes flashed at the memory of the black soldiers. A team I once fought with. When they found out I was double teaming them and actually slowly killing their soldiers instead they tortured me. Starved me to death...used me in every way. Every since then I swore revenge. They believed they broke down every bone in me and now all I wanted was to watch them beg for mercy...but that wasn't the job I had anymore. I had to protect the people in the danger areas not kill the opposing side. "I got it. I don't need them with me." I gave a disgusted look over my shoulder as my eyes started pleading with Tony begging so he gets the hint they're onto me.

"You'll need help. If they capture you again they won't hesitate to kill you instead of just starving you and...using you." He looked down as a sorry for bringing the memory vividly back up in your mind. "Fine. When do we leave?" I asked rolling my eyes in defeat. "You three leave tonight. Now.".... well fuck.
