Saving Lapis (lapidot human AU)

Chapter 1

Peridot woke up to the sound of her stupid alarm going off, she groans "Ugh!" as she punches her alarm clock off her nightable. She sits up, rubbing her eyes, her hair a matted mess. "I can't do this, not again!"

The groggy girl slogged herself out of bed. went to the bathroom, and then fixed herself some honey nut cheerios. While she was preparing to pour the creamy milk into her cereal, her dog Pumpkin knocked the carton over and the milk spilt all over in her lap. "PUMPKIN!!" she cried, pissed off. Now her breakfast was ruined, and she was going to run late because she had to change her wet pants. 

As she was rushing to get out, her phone beeps, and to her utter surprise, it was her crush, Lapis Arroyo. Peridot blushes as she checked what Lapis could have sent. 

Lapis:  Hey, peri what's up?

Peridot:  Getting ready for school.

Lapis: Hurry up.  It's 7:30. 

Peridot:  Okay, I'm on my way. 

Peridot quickly put her phone away in her pocket and rushed to put on new pants.  She got on her bike and rode it to the school. Lapis was standing at the parking lot with her motorcycle. Peridot got off her bike and rushed to lapis, "Hey Lapis!" She yelled.  Lapis looked up at peridot, "Come on slowpoke!" She yelled back.  Peridot was out of breath from running and riding her bike. She bent down holding her knees and panted. Lapis rolled her eyes and smirked, "Lets go." she said while she grabbed peridot's hand and pulled her.

 They ran into the school building and bumped into Jasper Quartz, the meanest popular girl in school.  Peridot looked up at Jasper and nervously apologized. 

Peridot: Sorry! We didn't mean to ran into you... 

Jasper: Shut it freak! Get out of my way! *pushes peridot* 

Lapis: *Glared at Jasper* Don't touch her! 

Jasper: *Got in Lapis face* Or what?
