(Tsukishima's POV)

In less than 5 minutes, I arrived to my house. I unlocked the door and opened it silently. I took my shoes off and then placed my jacket on the clothing rack at the entrance. My mother wasn't home since she was in Russia for a business trip. Akiteru was probably studying in his room.

I was entering my room when I heard Akiteru's door opening. "Oh, Kei, you're home. How was your day?" He poked his head out. "It was fine, thanks." "Good to hear, I'll go make dinner now." He then went to the kitchen and did what he said. I nodded and placed my bag on the floor.

I took a quick shower and changed into more comfortable clothes. By then, dinner was ready so I made my way to the dinning room, which was right next to the kitchen. I sat in my usual seat and started eating. Akiteru sat across the table, he was on his phone while eating. We both ate silently. My brother was first to break the silence. "How was practice?" He placed his phone face down on the table. "The usual, it was good, I guess. I still need to practice my servers tho." "Oh cool, I can help you if you want, we can practice in the backyard or the park someday" "Cool. Thanks" I stood up and grabbed my plate. I went over to the kitchen sink and washed my plate as Akiteru was waiting for me to finish to do the same. I stored the clean plate and headed back to my room.

Closing the door, I let out a sigh. 'Ugh... I want to text Yamssss.' I wish I could be brave enough to send him a message. But I'm not, even if we're friends already, I have a crush on that freckled guy, and that makes everything so damn hard. Besides, he's working now so I wouldn't want to bother him. But damn, it's barely been an hour and a half since I saw him and I already wanna be with him again. 'I'm such a simp...'

It's around 9pm now. I was watching a dinosaur documentary when I remembered I had to read chapters 5 and 6 for tomorrow. I stood up quickly and searched desperately for my book. 'Oh here it is.' I grabbed it and started passing the pages until I found the chapters I was looking for. Sitting down on the couch, I started reading. After half an hour, I had finished both chapters and made some notes about it. Every time I read a book, I take notes of things I think might be important and that I should remember, just in case the teacher asks me to answer a question.

I placed the book back on the shelf and searched for my phone and headphones. I opened Spotify and played -In my head- (Bedroom). The song is such a vibe. I turned off the lights and sat on my bed. I looked out the window that's right next to my bed and stared at the stars. 'It's beautiful...'  Stars remind me of Yamaguchi's freckles.

After some minutes of listening to music, I got sleepy so I placed my glasses, my phone and my headphones on the side table. Not long after, I fell asleep.

————————

I woke up next morning by the annoying sound of my alarm. I turned around, groaning and turning it off. I put my glasses on and yawning, I stood up. Everything was blurry for a couple of seconds but it got back to normal not long after. I got dressed as fast as I could and brushed my hair quickly. I then rushed downstairs to be greeted by my older brother cooking breakfast. He made three sandwiches, one for me, one for him and one for my lunch. "Good morning Kei. I made you lunch." "Morning, thanks." I picked up my bag and packed my lunch. I put my shoes on, and opened the door with one hand and waved goodbye to Akiteru with the other.
————————
I had morning practice today so as soon as I arrived to school, I made my way to the changing rooms and got changed. When I was done I went to the gym to find the king and the shrimp already practicing that weird quick attack. I walked over to Suga-san and started talking to him, he told me how him, Daichi-san, Asahi-san, and Kiyoko-San, will be graduating soon and how he would miss us all. I just stood there and listened, he did most of the talking. By the time he stopped talking, almost everyone was here, so practice could finally start.

Practice went by fast, I practiced my serves a lot since they're the thing I most suck at. I changed back into my school uniform and headed to the classrooms. Yams was already there, he was looking out the window, staring at some pigeons eating bread crumbs. I sat next to him silently, trying not to disturb him while he was staring at those birds. But of course, he noticed me. "Good morning Tsukki!" He had a bright smile on his face. "Morning, Yams." I unpacked my books and took out my notebook. I went through my notes from yesterday just to remember some things before class starts, Yamaguchi still staring at some birds.

Everyone went back to their seats after the teacher came in the classroom. "Okay class, silence. I hope everyone read the chapters I told you yesterday because today were having a quiz of what you've read until now." The whole class groaned in annoyance. Quizzes suck. I turned around to see Yamaguchi gripping his hair with a worried look in his face. "Psst what's wrong?" He covered his face with his hands. "I forgot we had to read that damn book. I'm gonna fail." I tilted my head in both confusion and concern. I handed him my notebook. "Here. You can use my notes." He looked up with so much hope and relief in his eyes. "Really? Thank you so much Tsukki, you're a life saver!" I nodded while he flipped through the pages, reading quickly while the teacher was handing out the tests.

We had 45 minutes to complete the exam and hand it back to the teacher. Every few minutes I gazed at him to check if he was doing alright. He looked a bit stressed at first but as the time went by he seemed more relaxed and confident. I finished my test and walked to the front of the class to leave it on the teacher's desk.

Back at my own desk, I drew some things on my hand, to kill time since we still have fifteen more minutes before the class ends. By that time, almost everyone had handed in their test. Only a few were still working on it, including Yamaguchi. Two minutes before the class was over, he stood up and handed in his test. I stared at him as he walked back to his desk. He pulled out my notebook and gave it back to me. "Thank you, it really helped a lot." His voice was soft, almost like a whisper. "Anytime." I gave a small smile in return but turned around when the teacher started talking again.

At lunch, Yamaguchi and I went to the rooftop once again. He did most of the talking, he'd just rant about random things and I'd just eat my sandwich and listen. Then he started talking about stars and constellations. The way his eyes sparkled while he talked made my day. His smile was wide and bright, his cheeks were pink and his hair looked shiny and it bounced every time he moved. I couldn't help but stare. "Tsukki?" "Tsukki?!" "TSUKKI!?" "UH? What? Yams? Why?" I didn't notice I was spacing out while staring at him until he pointed it out. "Were you listening to what I was saying?" He pouted, there were no more sparkles nor stars in his eyes anymore. There was nothing but concern and disappointment. I was spacing out thinking about him but I can't just tell him that can I? "I'm sorry, I spaced out, could you please repeat that last phrase?" I gave him a small smile, trying to light up the mood. "Okay... as I was saying, a meteor is going to pass very close to earth tonight and I was wondering if you wanted to see it with me." He started fidgeting with his fingers, probably nervous that I'd reject. "Oh sure I would love to go just text me the details of the location and time and I'll be there." I winked playfully and had another bite of my sandwich.
