The colour block party was just around the corner, even worse, the colour block party was in a few minutes. Even though it was pretty much late, Bella Parker was staring at her wardrobe 30 minutes before the party was about to begin. She had been busy with her newest designs for the runway project that she didn't even have time to pick an outfit - a huge risk since colour block party was one of the most important events for a first year - It was their chance, as first years, to set a good impression for the rest of the school, so image mattered now more than ever.

"Hey B, you got spare lip gloss?" a familiar voice called outside Bella's door. Bella could not believe who's mouth those words were coming from. "I'm sorry, Jade Hunter is asking for lip gloss?", questioned Bella as she opened her door in amusement. "I know, I know, the queen on makeup doesn't have have a spare of her most used product, let it go", answered Jade playfully. "C'mon in", said Bella after a soft giggle. Jade was already dressed for colour block, so she didn't mind paying Bella a visit now that she had some spare time. "Best of the best", said Bella handing Jade a LUX diamond lip gloss. "Thanks B, you're the best! Wow, you haven't even gotten dressed yet". "Yeah...", Bella was slightly embarrassed about her rare lack of preparedness, "just doing a last minute pick". "Let's see what we can do about that", said Jade as she fearlessly searched Bella's wardrobe like an unorganized bag of makeup. Bella wasn't bothered by it though, her friendship with Jade was so strong that they felt super comfortable around each other. "This will do it, trust me you'll look great", Jade said as she handed Bella a pink vintage dress. "Thanks Jade, you saved my butt". "Anything for you, B", said Jade doing finger guns as she walked away. "I'll see you at colour block", waved Bella before Jade closed the door as she left.

Bella felt so ready to own colour block, and she was feeling very confident in the outfit that Jade picked for her. She left the room with extra sass, which didn't last long after walking into the empty living room. She was sure that her roomies would never leave without her, but she was even more sure that they were done getting ready. Regardless, she went to check their rooms anyway. Just before she could knock on Jade's door-

"Boo!" Jade appeared behind Bella, successfully scaring her. "Alright, you got me this time", said now amused Bella, "where's Ruby and Vi?". "Chill, they're waiting outside, talk about running late", said Jade. "Oh you're one to talk", Bella backfired knowing that Jade was probably late too because she had another one of those days when she decides to change her entire makeup look at the eleventh hour, "you look amazing though, that last minute makeup switch really elevates your beauty". "Thanks B, you too! I mean your makeup was the same as before but...you look awesome!", Jade managed to say in response. Bella was used to complementing Jade out of the blue, so she did it often.

"I'm gonna be honest, you smell like a miracle", she said unexpectedly. "Oh you mean my new cologne? Yeah it's pretty sick". "If my future boyfriend doesn't smell like that, then I don't want him", teased Bella, getting a good laugh out of Jade. In realisation that they were late for reals this time, they made their way to the hallway where they found Ruby and Vi. The girls gasped in awe. "I would spend all night telling you guys how amazing you look but we gotta move, Sunny and Skye are already there!", yelled Violet desperately as she rushed her roomies to the party.
