TRIGGER WARNING FOR SELF HARM AND VERBAL DEPICTIONS OF BLOOD

Satan's Coffeehouse, a place of comfort, a place of safety, a place with no mirrors. A place where Soufflé didn't have to deal with his own shadow, he frequented to this same coffeehouse every Sunday for some peace and quiet. Until he met them.

His master attendant, they were playfully bantering back and forth with chocolate about a new drink and from that moment he was smitten.

He looked down into his coffee cup and saw his reflection; dark and sadistic

"Really? What is your obsession with this mere human? I get that they're attractive but do you think they'd be interested in a worthless puny scab like you? You're pathetic."

He chugged the coffee down burning his throat in the process, he knew it's what he had to do. He could never admire himself in the mirror for that was were his other half live. He looked back at you and you had been looking back with a kind smile, and for the first time that week

He smiled back.

That had been 3 month ago and you had made the decision to talk to him and a friendship leading to romance blossomed. You loved him and wanted him to love himself, so you had traded with a fallen angel (and nearly died in the process)for an enchanted mirror that would show one's true self, hoping it would let him know he wasn't the monster he normally saw.

You had wrapped in in silver paper along with a small crocheted doll you had made with the help of Jinuan.

"Darling I have a suprise for yo-"

You had to keep the bile from escaping your mouth, the smell of blood wafted through the room and in the corner layed an unconscious food soul, your unconscious food soul surrounded by broken glass shards from a mirror.

You rushed over to him to see the damage, his chest had a huge gash and his hands were littered with shards stuck in his hands.

You carefully carried him to the bed and grabbed a first aid kit and cleaned the gash before bandaging it up and went to work with a pair of tweezers to pluck out the shards in his hands. He was stable but you needed a healing food soul and quickly, so you called fruit tart.

"Look Y/N you knew what you signed up for, I'll heal him but you can't leave him alone for as long as you did, remember your mortal time is faster than ours."

His breathing was shallow and when he woke up his hands itched and had a numb pain to them he looked around and found his love sleeping in the Beanbag chair in the corner.

They shifted awake and saw Him, head in his knees and sobbing as if without the need for breath.

They wrapped their arms around him carefully to not hurt his wound.

"I'm sorry my doll, he wouldn't stop, I- I just wanted him to stop, I'm so sorry."

You simply stroked his hair and shush him to soothe him. You loved him more than words could describe.

"My darling, you have nothing to apologize for, it's not your fault, you didn't ask to be this way, I only wish you could see yourself the way I see you my light." I got you a present that might help."

You grabbed the mirror and watched him unwrap it and his eyes lit up.

He touched his cheek with bandaged hands and the tears started flowing once more.

"I'm me, he's not there, I- thank you my doll you have no idea how much I love this."

You pulled him in for a hug and you were both happy

You were both okay.
