My beloved Anna,

since I met you, I've known that if I was born for something, it was to be with you. You are the most incredible woman there can be and I love you with all my being. However, I'm aware that I don't make you happy, and I don't blame you! But, if you are not happy by my side, it doesn't make sense that I stay by yours.

I hope you have a beautiful and happy life with someone who knows how to give you what you deserve.

I love you.

Kristoff Bjorgman.

"That's what it says. The last thing he said to me before disappearing forever is that he loves me. How unfair, right? How am I supposed to live from now on?

"I need your advice. I've escaped from my room just so I can talk to you. It's been many years and many hard moments in which I've been able to count on you and you've given me courage. Please help me to get ahead. I don't know how to live without him. I know this is all my fault; I've been stupid, but I was afraid of losing him. And, in the end, I messed things up and I've lost him anyway. What do I do? Without him breathing hurts, waking up hurts, dreaming hurts, living hurts. I definitely don't want to live without him. But I feel between a rock and a hard place. If I move, it's easy for me to lose him, if I don't move... well, I've already lost him.

"What would you do in my situation, Joan? Enlighten me."

Anna stared with heavy, tired tears at the huge painting in the art room. She felt powerless, surrendered, cornered by her own thoughts. But suddenly the brave image of Joan of Arc brought her energy back.

"You're right! Remaining crying doesn't make sense. Nothing will be fixed like this. I may not be able to fix it, but if necessary, I will die trying. Thanks, Joan! I knew you wouldn't fail me!

Anna jumped up from the divan she was reclining on and bolted to her room to put on some comfortable clothes. If her adventures from the later years had taught her anything, it was she runs better with pants.

"I just hope I don't end up engulfed in flames like you..." she said in the middle of a sigh as she left the room.

...

"Become my wife."

"Wait, what?"

"I know that what I did was terrible and that I have no right to ask for your forgiveness, but... since that day I have not stopped thinking about you, Anna. I love you!"

Anna was totally astonished. That was the last thing she expected to hear from his lips.

"Please, let us keep the promise we made that day. I know that I can make you happy. Marry me.

"You'll excuse me, Hans, but I have more important things to attend to right now. And of course, the answer is no."

Hans frowned at the queen's refusal.

"Ou... it seems that in these years you have become more judicious..." he said drastically changing his tone for a much more mocking one.

"Now there you are..." Anna said recognizing the look of the ruthless man who let her die. "You taught me a valuable lesson."

"Hey, Anna, don't be rancorous. I'm offering you the easiest option..." He paused slightly. "Do what I ask and you'll come home alive."

Anna took a couple of steps back at the threat of the prince. Then a confident smile crossed her face.

"I've faced worse than you and made it out alive. Don't think I'm that easy to kill."

"Oh, Anna, we both know that it's always your dear sister who gets you out of trouble. Without Elsa's magic to protect you, you are nobody."

"Oh, no... You're wrong. I love Elsa, you know, but she's more about getting me in trouble than getting me out of it," she commented with a slight laugh. "If I owe my life to anyone in this world, it's to Sven and Kristoff..."

Anna stopped short. She had just realized how much she had depended on Kristoff all these years; from the moment they met, he had saved her life countless times when she was terribly inconsiderate of him. How could she not think about his feelings? It was no wonder she had been left: she had never properly shown him how much she loves him. And still, he was always there.

However, this time he isn't. What if this was the ultimate?

"No way!" she exclaimed to herself to Hans' surprise. "I am not going to die without clarifying things with him!"

"My patience is running out, Your Majesty."

Hans decisively moved toward her and she looked in all directions looking for a way out. This time everything depended on her. She was alone. Or maybe not...? Kristoff loved her, Elsa loved her, Olaf loved her... she wasn't alone, and she would prove it!

"Elsa! Thank goodness!" Anna cried with a relieved face looking behind Hans at the empty forest displaying her excellent acting skills.

Hans, fearing what the woman he was about to murder could do to him with her powers, turned abruptly, looking for her with his gaze.

It was only a few seconds, but by the time he wanted to realize the deception, Anna was no longer there.

"Shit, Hans! How could you fall for such an old trick?!" he told himself as he raced through the forest in search of his key to the kingdom.
