Kakashi Hatake x reader

DESCRIPTION: Kakashi and you are both very skilled Konoha jonin and have feelings for eachother but wouldn't express because of fear . Abiding by the commands of lady Tsunade you both have been sent to aid a nearby village who are in serious trouble due to a ruthless killer

It was a very silent sunny path to reach till the land of fire. y/n was paired up with her ninja academy colleagues the green beast of Konoha might guy and her academy crush Kakashi hatake. The silence in the journey till the village wasn't kept for long as the overly energetic might guy kept trying to make his bestfriend Kakashi have a competition with him and y/n couldn't help but smile at the way guy always light up the mood with his positive attitude.

after reaching the entrance of land of fire. it was Kakashi who made the plan of y/n and guy staying inside the village and looking for clues after talking to the people around while Kakashi will stay at the perimeter of the village spying on any one who looked suspicious. The plan was working well until a loud scream of a girl came from one of the shops.

y/n and guy ran towards the upcoming sound to find a young girl of 17 screaming to the top of her lungs,''help!! my dad has been taken by the killer! he will kill him help!'' guy ran towards the direction the girl was pointing while y/n stayed back to enquire the girl more about the mystery killer.

after a few questions realization hit y/n that the mystery killer that they are dealing with isn't a normal killer but its actually a rogue ninja with a snake tattoo made on his right arm. she quickly went in the direction guy went to see if he needed any help but was disappointed to see that guy lost the killer midway and with nothing more productive could be done that day.

special Konoha bird whistle message was given to Kakashi by y/n about todays information and the they all took the much needed rest for a better day tomorrow.

The next morning before the rise of the sun y/n kept looking around the ambushed or old houses for some clues and to her surprise found traces of burnt wood as if the house has been used by someone just yesterday. As soon as she turned around she felt the sharp edge of the kunai near her neck and a masked man who commanded her,'' stop playing around with your green friend and leave this town" while he was talking, y/n hastily took the opportunity and hit him in the knee only to be hit a hard metal on her head and fall down.

It was a very dim room where y/n was kept and she could see two men fiddling around and talking in some incoherent language. y/n tried to move but her hand and legs were tried with the unbreakable ninja threads. As soon as the guys heard shuffling of chair they became attentive and slapped y/n hard to make her go silent. With no chance of escaping y/n used her old academy tactic of special whistling whenever in danger.

----------------Kakashi pov:--------------

ugh where is y/n?? I thought leaving her with guy was better as his speciality was close combats which would have increased y/n's survival chances but I forgot how impatient y/n is with cases. I believe in her strength and hope she is alright.

"pew pew pewww pw(Konoha whistles)",listening to the emergency whistles Kakashi suddenly became attentive and understood y/n was in danger. He quickly rushed to the source of this sound ending to a old broken house

listening to y/n whistles one of the guys tried to shut her mouth and punched her twice on the face leaving her brutally bleeding. The other guy with snake tattoo on his arm took out his knife and threw it directly to y/n heart .

''kabooooom!!'' the small dusty room was filled with black dust mainly because of the small gas bomb that was thrown inside by guy to catch the two killer by surprise. The knife was skillfully directed the other way by Kakashi's kunai.

One of the killers tried to runaway but was immediately hit by guy's special combat kick and the other killer tried to choke Kakashi from behind but was tricked by Kakashi substitution jutsu and ended up being hit with Konoha's secret jutsu of thousand years of pain. ''and that's for trying to hurt my y/n." stated Kakashi making y/n blush to the emphasis on 'my'

After untying y/n and handing over the culprits to the authority the 3 ninjas went back with happy faces to their home. on their way back they took a rest in the forest itself because it became too dark to go on. putting up a tent and getting a sleeping bag was always a custom of ninjas going to a different land for rest time. might guy directly went on for catching his precious sleep after giving his special wink to y/n and Kakashi together. When the silence between y/n and Kakashi became a little awkward, Kakashi said ,'' about that 'my' in the sentence I didn't mean to say that you are only mine or objectify and umm I meant mine but yeah I didn't'' seeing him stuttering so much with his words y/n couldn't help but laugh and flirtingly say ,'' oh god the great Kakashi Hatake failing miserably to find the right words.''

Kakashi smirked at y/n's remark and suddenly came very close to y/n's lip making her startled ,''well finding the right words for the women who never got out of my mind from academy days is hard, cut me some slag" and then y/n took this opportunity and clashed her lips on his ,"well unfortunate enough but I like you too I guess silly boy "
