Why do we think of others the most when they are gone?

Losing a loved one has never been easy. Going through another day without them is a different kind of pain. But you know what's more painful? It is the fact that no matter how hard you cry and mourn over them, they will never come back; that you are never going to see them again.

I guess this is why mourning someone's death takes time. You always try to look back to those memories: the good ones and the bad, the struggles you faced, and the victories you celebrated together. Your memories will play like an old favorite song you once enjoyed listening to together. And there's the regret, the lingering sorrow for not having given them the kind of love and appreciation you wanted them to feel.

Perhaps, the saddest thing about death is that it is so sudden. You will never know that moment will be the last. So while you still have the time, make everyone feel all the love you could give. Be nice. Treat every day as if it is your last.
