The Mandalorian Sagas - Book I: Spring

Chapter V

After the destruction of Clan Belladonna, Blake and the Gambol Shroud began searching the Galaxy for Adam Taurus and the White Fang with the intention of exacting vengeance on Clan Belladonna. As months went by, they found nothing. No trace or Adam or the White Fang were found. At the same time, Blake and the Gambol Shroud took to bounty hunting sustain themselves. They soon gained a reputation as among the deadliest bounty hunters in the Galaxy. But none of that mattered to Blake. She wanted revenge on Adam for the death of her family as well as the massacre of her clan. One day on the planet of Galidraan, Blake and the Gambol Shroud had just finished putting down an insurrection against the planet's governor while also following a lead about Adam's whereabouts. After the battle, Blake speaks with Ilia. 

Blake: Ilia, report. 

Ilia: All opposition has been neutralized. 

Blake: Good. Head back to camp. 

Ilia: What about you? 

Blake: I'm going to tell the governor that the insurrection is over and collect our pay. 

With that, Blake began making her way to the governor's mansion while Ilia led the Gambol Shroud back to camp. Meanwhile inside the governor's mansion, the governor of Galidraan was talking to himself. 

Governor: This is a mistake. A bad plan. A bad plan. She's....she's going to kill me!

As the governor talks to himself, Blake Belldaonna flies through his open window. Upon seeing Blake's arrival, the nervous governor attempts to calm himself. 

Governor: M....Mandalorian! I....I must say you're here sooner than I expected.

Blake: Hello, Governor. We've taken care of your problem. The Mandalorians have prevailed. It's time for you to uphold your end of the agreement. 

As Blake says this, she pulls out one of her blaster pistols and aims it at the governor, terrifying him.

Governor: What...what is the meaning of this?!

Blake: You've been harboring a murderer. You've even funded his attempts to build up the White Fang. Now I want to know....where is Adam Taurus?!

Governor: He....he left Galidraan! 

Blake: That's not the right answer. I killed your enemies. Now tell me where to find mine! 

Suddenly, Adam Taurus and a squadron of White Fang Mandalorians burst through the door and began firing on Blake. 

Adam: Right here, darling!

Without hesitation, Blake fired on the White Fang. She killed two of Adam's men, but she was quickly overwhelmed. Despite her reservations, Blake was forced to retreat. 

Blake: You've crossed the wrong Mandalorian, governor. This isn't finished!

Blake activated her jetpack and flew out the window. As Blake made her escape, Adam took his pistol and aimed at her. He fired one shot which hits her jetpack, causing it to malfunction. Adam watched as Blake barely escaped from the ambush.

Governor: Is she dead?

Adam: I doubt it. That one's stubborn. She'll be making her way back to the Gambol Shroud to regroup. 

As Adam said that, multiple Republic Cruisers began hovering over Galidraan's skies. Adam smirked at this. 

Adam: The Jedi. What perfect timing. 

Governor: Yes. As you have instructed, I begged for their help. Informed them that Blake Belladonna and the Gambol Shroud were slaughtering political activists. Which is basically true. 

Adam: Send the Jedi to Blake's camp. Tell them that they've been killing women and children too. 

Governor: But....but there's no evidence to support that. 

Adam: Don't worry. We'll create some.

As Adam set his plot and motion, Blake continued to fly away from the governor's mansion. However, the damage done to her jetpack by Adam caused it to shot circuit, causing Blake to plummet to the snow. Blake's Beskar armor cushioned the fall. As Blake got up, she contacted Ilia. 

Blake: Ilia, do you copy? 

Before Blake could hear a response, she looked up to the skies to see the Republic Cruisers. In that moment, Blake knew what was going on. 

Blake: Ilia! This is Blake! Evac the camp! Evac now!

Ilia(Comlink): Blake....repeat....

Blake could barely make out Ilia's words. 

Blake: Ilia, my comlink is out, but if you can read me, get out now!

Blake rushed to the camp just as shuttles carrying Jedi Knights began landing near the camp. Just as Blake rejoined the Gambol Shroud, the camp was surrounded by a Jedi strike force led by Master Dooku and his Padawan Komari Vosa. 

Dooku: Mandalorians, I am Master Dooku. You stand accused of murder. Surrender now and we will ensure that you will be treated fairly.

Komari: But fight us, and we will bring swift justice!

As Blake and the Gambol Shroud were surrounded by the Jedi, Blake found herself in an dangerous situation. The Gambol Shroud were heavily outnumbered by the Jedi. Despite their combat prowess, none of them had ever gone toe to toe with Jedi before. Dooku once more tries to get them to surrender. 

Dooku: Mandalorians. You are surrounded. There is no escape. Surrender and your lives will be spared. 

As the Mandalorians were surrounded, the Gambol Shroud turned to Blake for their next orders.

Ilia: Blake, what are your orders? 

It soon became clear that the Jedi were brought here by the governor as well as Adam in an attempt to wipe them out. 

Blake: Damn it! We've been played!

Ilia: Blake! What are your orders?! 

Blake: Mandalorians! Open fire! Shoot the loudmouth first!

In that moment, Blake and the Gambol Shroud found themselves engaged in an intense battle against the Jedi on Galidraan. Left with no way to escape, all Blake and the Gambol Shroud could do was make their stand against the Jedi.
