I reached down into my tool belt. Where was it? Aha! There it was! I dug the flathead screwdriver out of my belt and reached up to fix the cog. And... There! The tick-tock, tick-tock of the clock tower rung through my ears. I adjusted the time to the time on my watch and collected all my tools. Hi, I'm Zach, and I live in a junkyard with an old clock tower in the middle of it. The clock tower is there because this used to be a beautiful plaza. Its now a junkyard and I live in it. I love mechanics and this place is filled with old cars, shops, garbage, tires, basically just, well, junk. That's enough about me for now. Back to the story! I walked down the clock tower steps and jumped the last two. Suddenly I freeze. What was that noise??? And then I hear it again. It was a voice, no, wait- two voices. "I can't wait until this place is fixed up again," says one. "I just hope that this buyer pays us well," says the other. "Hello, gentlemen," says another voice. I press my ear to the wall. "Well, speak of the devil. I suppose you're Josh Lucas?" "That would be me." Josh Lucas? That guy? Even I've heard of him. One of the richest people on earth, supposedly. And I know he was the reason that my parents died. I also know that he has a son my age. "Yes, I am. I saw this property and knew that it had... potential. I plan to get this junk out of here and restore it." "Welp, if you do want to buy it"... At this point had I stopped listening to the conversation. I quickly walked to the other side of the clock tower. There was another door there... I got to the little abandoned shop where I lived and gathered my things as quickly as possible. There were woods near the eastern border of the town. I could live there. It was where I got all my food anyways. I was glad that i had decided to take all my tools from the clock tower back home before those guys showed up. Now to get to those woods without them seeing me...
