I started driving down the empty roads trying to think where my brother could have gone. He didn't see what I did right? Maybe he's at a friends house? You dumb bitch of course he saw, should've payed better attention. Even if he did see I would have got him by now, he couldn't have even moved that far. I placed one hand on the steering wheel as I reached across the passenger seat trying to reach for my phone. I felt the car swerve a bit as I did so causing me to sit up again and put both hands on the wheel. You fucking dumbass, you're gonna get us killed. Oh shut up I know what I'm doing. Where do you even plan on going? You have literally just been driving on the road talking to yourself for the past fifteen minutes. Can you just shut the fuck for a moment and let me think? Well I'm pretty much your mind so I don't know what you plan on doing about that. God just shut up, holy shit. Just check your phone and see if you had any text messages that could tell you where he is right now. Wow you're actually being useful for once, that's the first.

I started to pull into a gas station so I could get a chance to stop and get my phone. As I got out of the car I started to breath in and really notice my surroundings. A soft dim light was shining down on my car as the wind chimed in the back. I could hear the russells of the leaves every time the wind hit. I slowly walked over to the passenger side of the car and grabbed my phone. As I opened it, I looked through my text messages trying to figure out where he might be. Still no luck, I mean what did I expect to find anyway? It's not like I even get messages from anyone. What the fuck do I do? I can't let them find me, I can't let them know. I have to leave. So that's exactly what I did.

One Year Later

After a while you almost forget. You almost forget all the bad things that happened in your past, or you at least try to. I left and changed, changed my identity and everything about me. I had to do it, or else they would find me. That night I never was able to find my brother anyway. I just hope he has a better life now, without my parents around. I changed my name to Maisie Brown. The night that I left the gas station I continued my journey to New York. I thought it would be best to start a new life from scratch and try to forget about everything, keyword, try. I started working at a restaurant a couple blocks away from my apartment, it was nothing special but at least I was getting paid. While I was working one night, you know cleaning up the place, the news caught my eye. It started to talk about my parents and where they might have gone, I guess they just thought my parents left and disappeared and took us with them, because there was no trace of murder especially murder leading back to me, but I guess it's always calm before the storm.
