Chapter 5

The rain pitter patters. And it feels as if the world tunes out for a second. You see the sun is still peaking out as drops of rain come pouring down.

Y/N Pov

    "The sun is still out! Does that mean we might see a rainbow!?"

    "Who cares about the rainbow anyway." Miya shrugs.   

    "Oh you're right! We might get to see a rainbow! That would be so amazing!" Reiki throws his arms up into the air.

    "Yeah." Langa says.

    I take a step on my skateboard. Then I slowly push forward. The skateboard doesn't slip at all!

    "Wow this is amazing Reki!"

    "Thanks it's not much!" Reki smiles.

    "You look ridiculous in that big rain jacket. It doesn't fit you at all." Miya has a small grin looking at you.

    "H-hey! At Least i'm not soaking wet!" I say defending myself. I cross my hands and then go back to trying out the skateboard.

    "Oh I have a great idea, how about I put all our skateboards with these wheels and we can go for a little ride! If it's ok with your dad." Reki asks.

    "Yeah I'll text him." I text him and he says sure, so I wait inside the little shack for Reki to finish applying the wheels to Miya and langa's skateboards.

-Time skip-

    "All done!" Reki proudly smiles. We all wear our rain jackets and head out.

    "Where are we going?" Langa asks.

    "It's a secret! Just follow me." Reki puts one finger over his mouth and smiles. Miya sighs.

    "Come on let's go." Miya gets on his skateboard and starts gliding. The sun was starting to set and we were skating just where the horizon line was. It looked so beautiful. The sky was orange and yellow. And the sun was shining on the four of us.

    "This is such a beautiful scenery!" I say. I keep looking at the sunset and get distracted. I forgot I was skating.

Miya chinen POV

    The sun shined directly onto Y/N. Their gaze looked so beautiful and their hair waved in the wind. I sighed.

Times like this I really felt lonely. I knew I was friends with Reki and langa, but it isn't the same with Y/N. They just seem to want to be close with just me. They want to know about me. They want to talk to me. Not just about skating.

Suddenly Y/N slips and screams a tiny "Aah!". I caught Y/N and their eyes glittered.

"Oh my god! Thanks for catching me there. I was busy watching the sunset." Y/N smiles. "Oh.! Sorry you're still carrying me." Y/N blushes and turns away.

"Don't fall next time idiot. I might not be able to catch you next time" I say but I know that I probably will. I want to spend the rest of my life with this person. The rain slowly falls onto Y/N's raincoat.

"So are you all gonna kiss now?" Reki says joking around.

"WHAT?" Me and Y/N say at the same time.

"You are still holding (pronoun). You guys stopped skating, I had to see what was going on!" Reki laughs.

I immediately blush and put Y/N down.

-Time skip-

Y/N pov

    "That was a fun course." I say

    "Yeah we were on the horizon line the whole time! Also there were so many cool sceneries that we passed by." Langa's eyes sparkle.

"This is the course I take when I am feeling down or when I need to chill and relax! It is perfect for the rain too." Reki puts his hands on his hips and smiles. The rain slowly stops and I look up.

"It's a rainbow!" I say pointing to the rainbow. You couldn't see it that well since it was getting dark but the colors shined nonetheless.

"Woah.." Miya whispers.

"I heard that!" reki says.

"What?" Miya replies.

I laugh, and pull everyone into a big group hug. Even though our jackets are soaking wet.
