"Brightscales."

Brightmind was a dragon who didn't question things. She didn't question why she was only aloud into the Rainforest for hunting. She didn't question the curfew demanding she slept by moonrise. And she didn't question why she was always told to stay on the path, when doing said hunting. Except for today. Because today her curiosity had finally won a very long battle in her head. Because when she heard a rustle in the trees, caught a whiff of RainWing and saw a shimmer in the air, she had ignored the order to return with the Kinkajous she had caught, and chased after it.

Flying through the trees as fast as she could Brightmind was still very slow, so soon she had lost the trail. And, she saw turning around and gazing at the jungle in her line of sight, she was lost.

Great, she thought bitterly. This is what happens when you don't do what you're told! Stupid Brightmind!

The NightWing dragon stomped around, sticking her nose in the air and trying to catch a scent.

"What are you doing?"

Brightmind jumped as the voice came from a supposedly quiet tree right next to her.

"Get out here!" She yelled, flailing her wings. "I know you're there!"

A pause, and then the air around the base of tree ten yards away shimmered, and standing there was a bright yellow dragon with circles of orange dotting his spine and legs, and a small circlet of quiet pink rosebuds around his horns. A few green scales were scattered around his ruff but he quashed them quickly.

"Hello," the RainWing said pleasantly. "I'm Okapi, who are you?"

Brightmind blinked at him for a moment, thinking fast.

"Bright-Brightmind." She said at last. There was no harm in telling her name to a random RainWing, right?

"Wow, that's a weird name," The RainWing said wrinkling his snout. "Really pretty, but weird."

"No, it's not!" Brightmind said, a little flustered. "It's a perfectly normal NightWing name!"

That just made Okapi look even more confused.

"NightWing?" He asked, stepping towards her. "You're from a different tribe? Ohh! That explains why you're so beautiful." He nodded decisively as if that completely explained it, fully ignoring Brightmind warming snout.

He . . . He thinks I'm beautiful?

That didn't fit in her mind at all, one because she was so used to dragons grumbling about how annoying she was, and two because obviously this strange RainWing was the prettiest dragon she had ever seen, with his scales like liquid sunshine and molten gold.

"So Brightmind what brings you into the Rainforest?" Okapi asked cheerily.

"I'm- I'm hunting." Brightmind stammered, not really caring that she had just leaked important information to an enemy dragon.

"Hunting?" Okapi wrinkled his snout again, his scares swirling with pink, blue and yellow.

That's it, this was supposed to just be an opening for my story about those two dragons child, Brightscales who gets raised in the Rainforest, but I've kinda abandoned it
