Where the hell am I?Instead of waking up to my alarm this morning, I woke up to the sounds of a city. I didn't happen to be in my bedroom either, I was in a unfamiliar space with a gorgeous view.
The golden disc rising higher and higher as different shades of orange, pink, and yellow covered all throughout the sky. All of the darkness slowly fading away while the birds start to whistle to the shine.
The beauty in front of me caught my full attention and made me forget that how fearful I was of the unfamiliar room I was in.
'Maybe this is all just some weird lucid dream
No, it feels way too real for it to be a lucid dream.'I started to look around the area more. The room I was located in seemed to be quite high up. The bed I was laying in had white silk sheets along with a big puffy cover. The pillows were soft and probably looked like big white marshmallows from afar.
The rest of the room was extraordinary and had a perfect aesthetic to fit it. In fact, I believe it to be too perfect.
I looked down at my clothing and I had been wearing the same exact thing I went to bed in last night. Black shorts and an oversized grey shirt that happened to be my brothers, before I stole it.
I quietly got up, making sure to feel everything and see if I actually am awake or if it really might just be a dream. There were two doors in the room, the one I opened first happened to be a closet. A beautiful closet that is, with clothing that looked stunning and jewelry that looked really expensive, shining from the tiniest amount of sunlight that hit it.
I closed the closet door and made my way to the next one, which was indeed the correct exit. It lead to a small hallway and I made sure to tiptoe through it. Making sure I note where a possible exit is in case I did happen to be kidnapped in my sleep or something. If I was though, I'm sure they wouldn't have had me sleeping in a nice room, and instead, I'd be in some basement tied up with ropes.
I looked around the rest of the apartment and everything about it was so luxurious. Whoever owns this must have really good income to afford something like this.
My family wasn't poor but we definitely weren't rich either. We live in a medium-sized house in the suburbs and all of us share one bathroom. We don't have any fancy shiny countertops since my siblings always make a mess on them. Thankfully, I was able to have my own room since I was the oldest but my two youngest siblings had to share a room.
Things are usually chaotic at my house. My mother and father are always fighting but for some odd reason refuse to get a divorce.
Some nights it gets really physical between them to the point I have to invite my siblings into my room. We'll normally spend the night blasting music to drown out the yelling. Then we have a pajama dance party or watch a movie in some fort we manage to build. As much as they drive me crazy, I'd do anything to protect them.
As I walked closer to the quartz tone island, I saw a stack of mail sitting in the middle of it. I pulled it a bit closer to me so I could see what name was on it.
