Nova never really understood how people could start fights so easily. They currently stand between two kingdoms: the kingdom of the sun, Icarus. And the kingdom of the moon, Lunas. The king of Icarus was a man named Pyro, a good friend of Novas and kind to all his citizens. The queen of Lunas was a woman named Alexis, another good friend of Novas, and also kind to her citizens. With how similar these two seemed, Nova really couldn't figure out how they hated each other so much.

"Pyro, this is your last chance to give up, and surrender." Alexis speaks from across a battlefield scene, standing behind hundreds of soldiers all ready to fight for their queen.

On the other side of this field Pyro laughs. "Do you really think I'd give in that easily, Alexis? Youd be a fool to think so. It would be so much easier for you however, to simply wave a white flag, and put this whole thing to rest."

Nova watches from the clouds, wondering when or if they should even step in. Nova was not really human. They were a creation of the gods of both sun and moon. A protector of the stars, they were called. They didn't get themselves involved in many human affairs until now, until they met this group of humans that intrigued them enough to intervene.

"Well, I guess this is the end of one of our kingdoms. And it won't be mine." Alexis glares at Pyro before signaling her main guard to start the attack. Nova is suddenly much more tempted to try and stop this. Pyros soldiers now start attacking the Lunas guards.

Its not a few hours until all that's left is a bloody mess, and two leaders standing in the middle of the field. Both of them heavily injured and still very angry. They're shouting, hitting each other, some tears spilling. It's finally at this point that Nova decides to talk to the two. The first to notice Novas presence is Pyro.

"Nova? Whatre you doing here,,?" Pyro asks weakly. Alexis looks to where Pyro was looking and seems shocked.

"What was the reason for this war? During my time of living I've seen hundreds of wars, thousands of destroyed towns, millions of deaths. Which every war I see, I never see resolve, nor do I see the reason these wars are started." The two royals look at each other for a moment, almost looking guilty.

"So all I ask is why. Was there something specific that I'm missing? Alexis all of your men are dead, as are yours Pyro. These were good people- kind people, willing to risk their lives and that they did. What was so important that you let maybe a thousand people die today?" Nova looks between the two desperately.

Alexis sighs. "History. I'll be honest, I dont think I'll ever feel more guilt in my life than now. The Icarus kingdom has something of the Lunas kingdom, and for years we've been fighting to get it back. And apparently, we have something of the Icarus kingdom. Although I've never seen it myself, only my parents. I've been told we can never give this item to the Icarus kingdom, or theyll destroy our kingdom and kill the citizens within."

"Wait- we have something of the Lunas kingdom? I was never told of this. I was only told you took something valuable of ours." Pyro looks to Alexis and gestures to her.

Ah, I see, Nova thinks to themselves.

"Well lack of communication is a lovely thing, isnt it?" Nova just sighs. They know what these items are, they're fake. Not even a thing, not even in existence. Just a story told to the next generation to continue a war started by those long before these two. What a sad thing, to see their history in an infinite circle like this for so long. Nova wonders how long this loop has been going on for, and how many lives have been lost.

"Well, now that you've recklessly killed one thousand people, shall we go talk about these items?" Nova says, walking up to Pyro and Alexis, and guiding them to the Icarus kingdoms castle.
