On-Page Analytics is a tool for which we can measure the actual visitor traffic that is arriving on your website. For example, Google Analytics, Adobe Site Catalyst, WebTrends, etc. They help you track the engagements and interactions your visitors have. For example, if they convert a customer or lead or not, how'd they get there, what they purchased and how much they spend as well as what campaigns they viewed and clicked on, and so forth.

All these techniques help you measure visitors to your site. This method is used by the majority of vendors. It is called as 'page tagging technique. It all requires the placement of a small snippet or tag or JavaScript code on your web page that will act as a source- for capturing visitors' information, storing cookies, and help broadcast the data in real-time.
