AN: I'm really excited for you guys to read this chapter!! This one is longer and more detailed :D so I hope you guys enjoy!!

Charlotte's POV:

I've got a tight hold on my gun as we speed down the gravel road. No one has said much since we started driving. Right now the only noise besides the storm around us, is the occasional grunt of pain from Louis, followed by a "sorry mate... just hang in there" from Liam, who's still applying pressure to Louis' wound. He needs a hospital and fast, but if we don't follow Dan, I'm scared that we might never get another chance to rescue Niall and Harry.

The rain hasn't let up at all. It's still pouring down so fast that it feels like we're caught beneath a waterfall, and now the road is just a muddy, sloppy, dangerous mess! Not exactly ideal conditions to be driving 100km an hour down a gravel road, but I'm not about to say anything to Zayn. I've caught his glimpse in the rear view mirror a couple of times, and I see this look of determination, like he has the hope and faith that I was worried these boys had lost through out this whole mess... but there is something else. He almost looks concerned. Not just about the situation we're currently in, but something deeper, like he's thinking about something harder then he needs to be. I only say that because I know what's on his mind. Sammy said something to him about me. God, these boys are already dealing with so much! She just had to bring up my problems. I know that Zayn means well, and I get why he's concerned, but I told him... NO, I promised him, I promised all of them that they could trust me, and I truly meant it with every inch of my soul. But Sammy tampered with it by bringing up my issues that are better left unsaid. They don't need to worry about me. Right now every aspect of they're mind should be focused on getting their brothers back and going home.

"Hey Char!" Zayn yells, disrupting my thoughts.

"Yeah?" I shout, crouching down towards the back window so I can hear him better.

"Which way do you think they turned?"

I stand up as Zayn brings the truck to a stop, and my eyes land on the problem. We've come to a T intersection.

I jump out of the back and walk around to the road ahead. Turning back to the truck, I wave my hand at Zayn telling him to come out here. He jumps out and slams the door of the truck shut.

"I couldn't tell what way they might have turned." he yells over the rain while running up to where I'm standing.

I walk up a little farther and bend down looking at the muddy road. To the right, there doesn't seem to be any prominent tracks. At least none that I can see. At the speed they were going, and Dan being... well Dan, they must have left some sort of mark on the soft gravel. I can't see him slowing down too much to make the turn.

"I don't think they went this way." I say over to Zayn who is inspecting the road to the left.

"Charlotte! Come look at this!" He yells.

I run over to where he's standing and look at the road in front of us. "Look at what? There's nothing here."

"No not the road. Look at the ditch".

I start walking over to where Zayn is pointing, and that's when it becomes perfectly clear. In the ditch there is a huge rut in the grass. A rut that could only have been made from a stuck tire.

"Dan probably thought he could lure us away by driving off the road. To bad the rain ruined his plan". Zayn laughs turning to me with a devious smirk on his face.

"For once this rain has actually done something useful". I chuckle back.

We both quickly return to the truck. Zayn in the drivers seat, and me in the box of the sliver vehicle. I sling the gun back on my shoulder, and hit my hand on the roof of the truck a couple times to signal for Zayn to start driving.
